The First Gen Scholar Award is for a graduating first generation college bound high school senior with anticipated full time enrollment in an accredited two or four-year post-secondary institution. Applicants must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale and demonstrate involvement in co-curricular or community activities.
Applicants are considered first-generation college bound students if their parents/guardians have not completed a four-year baccalaureate degree.
To be eligible applicants must attend school in one of the following Ohio counties:
- Summit
- Mahoning
- Trumbull
- Stark
The Jefferson Family Foundation will be awarding two (2) First-Gen Scholar Award scholarships for the 2025-2026 school year.
Amount Available:
The maximum amount awarded to an individual is $500.00.
