Registration and Contest Rules:
1. You must be at least 13 years of age with parental consent to enter.
2. Catagories include: 13 to 15yrs (grades 7-9), 16 to 18yrs (grades 10-12) and 19+ (Adults)
3. Participant ages 13 to 17 must have signed parent’s or guardian's permission, and one parent or guardian must remain on site during the contest.
4. Entries are limited to the first 20 contestants in each age group based on registration.
5. Free, early registration ends September 19th at 4PM.
6. Day-of registration Checkin begins at 10:30AM, costs $5 and will at 11:00 AM on September 27th, 2026.
7. Prizes will be determined by entry.
8. You will be consuming 1ea hot dog and one hotdog bun.
9. Participants may not touch the hot dogs or buns until the starting signal.
10. Only entirely consumed dogs will be counted including the bun.
11. Contestants will have 5 minutes to eat as many dogs as they can.
12. Buns and hot dogs may be separated, dunked or mangled.
13. Contestants may drink only water during the contest.
14. Condiments are limited to ketchup and mustard. (Optional)
15. When the 5-minute time limit is up, contestants may not put any additional hot dog or buns in their mouths.
16. Partially eaten hot dogs will not be counted.
17. Visible signs of sickness or spitting out will result in disqualification.
18. In the result of a tie an “Eat Off” will determine the winner.

I or we, as the competitor(s) of the South Lyon Live Hotdog Contest, hereby submit this entry to (the "Competition").

I or we will indemnify the Competition, its Judges, and hold them harmless, defending against any claims, demands, losses, costs, damages, judgments, liabilities, and expenses (including attorneys' fees) arising from claims by third parties, whether or not groundless, based on any stories submitted to the Competition or any screenplay developed from such stories.

I or we acknowledge that the Competition assumes no liability for non-receipt or loss and I or we agree to remain fully liable in connection with it.

I or we agree to abide by the rules and decisions of the Competition judges.

I or we grant the Competition the nonexclusive right to use my/our name(s), photograph(s), and likeness(es) in connection with publicity and promotional activities regarding the Competition.

I or we have read, understood, and complied with all guidelines and rules herein, and failure to do so may lead to disqualification.
