Summer Camp Kindergarten Registration Logo
  • 2025 Kindergarten Summer Camps

  • As of April 1, 2025, we began implementing the Affordability Grant Funding offered through the Alberta Government.

As of April, a new flat monthly parent fee will be introduced:

    • $326.25 per month for children enrolled in full-time care (100+ hours per month).

No action is required on your part to participate in this new fee structure. We will apply for the Affordability Grant on your behalf. However, to complete the application process, we are required to share certain information with the government. We will provide a list of the required details in this form and request your permission before sharing them.

To continue offering quality care and services, we are permitted to charge additional fees for optional services such as transportation, field trips, and meals. Additionally, fines outlined in our Parent Handbook and any other fines will still apply, as they fall outside the scope of government funding.

On the next few pages, you'll find details about our optional programs, the fees and decide whether you'd like to participate in any of these optional services.

  • Summer Camp Information

  • If your child is in kindergarten this year, this is the only summer care option available with Steps Academy after June 30, 2025.

If you need care with Steps Academy and do not register for this option, your child will not have summer care with us.

Please see below for the breakdown of what is being offered.

    KSA Summer Care

This option will allow you to book as many or as few weekly camps as you choose.

Location: KSA in Cougar Ridge - Kinder & Out of School Care (OSC) combined

Schedule: 5 day options only except on 4 day weeks with a stat holiday

    Hours: 8am - 5pm (No early drop-offs/pick-ups available)

Includes: Materials, 2 snacks and lunch

Payment: To be withdrawn by Miranda on the Monday or Thursday following your registration application

There are two pricing options available:

    Option 1:

    $350 for a 5-day week
$325 for a 4-day week (due to statutory holiday closures)

    Option 2:

$326.25 for the entire month, plus $50 per week for food
The price difference is due to funding that helps cover the monthly option. With this option, your child can attend as many or as few weeks as you'd like.

    For Example:

    • In July, with four weeks of camp, the total cost would be $326.25 for the month plus $200 for food ($50 per week), totaling $526.25. This averages out to $131.56 per week.

    • In August, with only three weeks of camp, the cost would be $326.25 for the month plus $150 for food, totaling $476.25. This averages out to $158.75 per week.

What your child's day will look like:

    Field Trips and Community Walks

Every Wednesday the children will go on a field trip where they will get to enjoy a wide variety of activities, such as the splash park, playgrounds, specific locations and lots of games and exploration.

All equipment will be provided and brought with the children on the bus by KSA staff. This includes our emergency backback and any fun equipment for the day.

Throughout each week, the staff will also invite the children to go for walks around some of the interesting areas of our community.

Waivers are required for each child for all off-site activities and will be provided to you prior to your camp start date.

    WATER PLAY

KSA loves to set up their sprinklers & giant slip n' slide throughout the week, weather permitting, so the children can get lots of time to splash around too!

We ask that if you would like your child to participate in these activities, to ensure they are well prepared with swim suits, towels, sunscreen, hats and anything else you would like them to have to stay safe.

  • Payments for Summer Camps

  • Summer Care Payment Process

Payments will be automatically withdrawn on the first Monday or Thursday after you register for camps.

If a payment is declined due to Non-Sufficient Funds (NSF), your registration will be considered incomplete. Incomplete registrations will not be processed and may be replaced by completed registrations, which could result in losing your spot.

All payments will be processed by Miranda with Registrations.

    DO NOT SEND AN E-TRANSFER.

If your child is NOT CURRENTLY registered at Steps Academy, please complete & submit the pre-authorization payment form (PPF).

    Add My Payment Information

    Password to submit is Ac@demy2013
