2025 CENTENNIAL SPONSOR APPLICATION

The City of Fircrest is excited to celebrate its 100th birthday in September 2025. This milestone offers a unique opportunity for our community to come together, reflect on our history, and celebrate the triumphs that have shaped the character of Fircrest. As we embark on a year-long journey of centennial festivities, we are reaching out to you as a valuable member of our community to invite your invaluable support and participation on this historic occasion.

The Centennial festivities will include festive community-wide events, including Fircrest Fun Days and Concerts in the Park, the return of the Fircrest Bear and Rhodie Tour, Derby Days, a Talent Show, and a weeklong Centennial Celebration in September! To make these centennial celebrations truly remarkable, we are seeking sponsorships from residents, businesses, and organizations. Your generosity will contribute to the success of a series of events that will not only honor our past but also pave the way for a bright future.

Street Pole Banners & Flags Program

Show your Fircrest pride, enhance community spirit, and help beautify our City by sponsoring a Street Pole Banner or Flag!  These double-sided, full-color banners and flags can feature your name or logo and will be prominently displayed on streetlight poles at key intersections and along main streets throughout 2025.  Sponsorships are available for $1,500 each, with a limited number of banners and flags available.  At the end of the program, the City will send your sponsored banner or flag to you as a keepsake.  Don’t miss this unique opportunity to showcase your support for Fircrest while gaining valuable visibility for your business or organization!

Hanging Basket Program

The City’s hanging basket program was launched in 2000 to celebrate the City’s 75th Anniversary.  Now, you can play a part in enhancing our community’s beauty by sponsoring a hanging basket!  Hanging baskets are $50.00 each and will be displayed along Regents Boulevard and Emerson Street.  Each donation will receive recognition in a future mailing to City residents, showcasing your support for local beautification.

Centennial Sponsorship Agreement

Terms and Conditions

• The City reserves the right to reject any sponsorship offer that is deemed inappropriate, violates City policies,  or could compromise the public perception of the City or its ability to act in the best interests of the public. 
• The Sponsor grants to the City of Fircrest a limited license and right to use the Sponsor’s trademarks, trade names, logo designs, and company descriptions as prepared and delivered to the City of Fircrest by the Sponsor, in any medium of advertising, marketing materials, and/or promotional goods distributed solely in conjunction with the Centennial Events and in accordance with Sponsor’s trademark usage guidelines.
• The Sponsor must provide a high-resolution company logo in adherence with deadlines provided by the City to be included in printed marketing materials.
• The City reserves the right to reject any and all advertising.
• Sponsor donations are non-refundable.  Should a sponsored event be canceled due to reasons outside the City’s control, an equivalent sponsorship opportunity may, at the City’s sole dissertation, be provided at a future event.
• Sponsors must not disparage sponsored events or be prejudicial to the image and/or reputation of the event or the City’s involvement therein. 
• The Sponsor agrees to indemnify and hold harmless the City of Fircrest, its Council members, City staff, and volunteers from any and all claims, losses, liability, damages, and/or expenses arising from the sponsorship agreement and advertising except to the extent arising from the City’s breach of contract or negligence.
• The laws of the State of Washington shall govern this Agreement, and in the event of any dispute, the venue for all proceedings shall be in a court of appropriate jurisdiction in Pierce County, WA.
• The display of a Sponsor’s logo or branding message by the City does not imply endorsement or affiliation with the Sponsor other than as outlined in this Agreement.  The views and opinions expressed by the Sponsor are solely those of the Sponsor and do not represent or reflect the positions of the City, the City Council, or City staff.
• Entering into a sponsorship agreement does not grant the Sponsor any special privileges, rights, or status beyond those explicitly outlined in this Agreement.
• The City will not reject sponsorship applications based on an applicant’s personal views. However, it will not accept sponsorships from entities that manufacture or distribute products or hold positions inconsistent with local, state, or federal law or that conflict with the City’s vision, mission, values, and policies.  This includes applicants engaged in any of the following activities or that have a mission supporting any of the following, or that, in the City’s sole discretion, are deemed unsuitable for community standards or inappropriate for government speech:
• Promotion or depiction of any profanity, obscenity, sexually oriented products, materials, or activities.
• Promotion or depiction of any bigotry, prejudice, discrimination, and/or hate.
• Promotion or depiction of firearms, explosives, weapons, and/or glorification of violent acts.

Representation & Acknowledgement

By signing below, you confirm that you are authorized to enter into this agreement on behalf of the sponsoring business or organization and acknowledge and agree to the sponsorship fees, terms, and conditions outlined above.

This agreement will be considered valid only when signed by both the Sponsor and the City of Fircrest.  Payment must be received within 30 days of the Sponsor’s signature unless alternate arrangements have been approved in writing.
