    Start a New Club
  • Running a club requires significant planning, commitment, and ongoing effort. It’s a long-term commitment that involves consistent effort to succeed. Make sure you understand the full scope of responsibilities before submitting your EOI via the details provided on our website.

    • Club Registration at Curtin
    • All students clubs at Curtin are required to register with the Guild and renew their registration annually in order to remain affiliated and continue operating as a 'Curtin' student club.

      New Club Registrations

      To register a club with the Guild for the first time, you first need to submit an Expression of Interest (EOI), outlining the club’s purpose, goals, and membership structure. For it to be considered, the club must:

      • Be entirely run by Curtin students, for the benefit of Curtin students;
      • Enhance the student experience at Curtin University;
      • Demonstrate sufficient student demand for its formation; and
      • Cater to a specific topic, group, or interest that is not adequately represented by an existing club;
      • Meet the minimum registration requirements as identified in the Registration of New Clubs Policy.

      If your EOI is accepted, you’ll be invited to submit a registration application and provided with templates and steps to follow which include establishing the club by running the clubs first meeting, elect office bearers, set up a bank account, and ensure legal and policy compliance. You’ll also need to plan future activities and manage membership, funding, and communication.
