This Nomination has been reviewed by the Nomination Committee, who are satisfied that essential criteria has been met, before going forward to the AGM for approval.

That this Annual General Meeting approves the recommendation of the Management Committee to award Honorary Membership of Clandeboye Golf Club to Mr Terry Crawford, in recognition of his 34 years of dedicated and distinguished service as Course Manager.

During his tenure, Mr Crawford has consistently worked to enhance and maintain both courses to the high standards enjoyed by members today.

His leadership of the Greens Team has been characterised by professionalism, pride and a strong commitment to service, and his efforts have played a significant role in the continued development and success of the Club.

Mr Crawford has also contributed beyond his core role, including stepping in to fulfil the duties of Club Manager when required and assisting in promoting the Club to a wider audience.

Under his stewardship, the courses have been presented to an exceptional standard for prestigious events including the NI Open, NI Masters, EuroPro Tour and major Golf Ireland competitions.

His ability to oversee and manage course development projects, working effectively with contractors on works such as the 2nd Green on the Dufferin Course and the 10th Green on the Ava Course, has ensured the delivery of the Club’s desired outcomes while also saving the Club many thousands of pounds through the talented and dedicated team he has developed and nurtured at Clandeboye Golf Club.

Over more than three decades, he has also mentored and trained many individuals who have gone on to successful careers in course management and related sectors within the golf industry.

Terry has never approached his role as a typical 8am–4pm position. He has always demonstrated exceptional commitment to the Club, making himself available whenever required for the good of Clandeboye. Whether responding to storms, managing flooding, or dealing with unforeseen challenges affecting the courses and even clubhouse, he has consistently been prepared to step forward and lead his team to protect and maintain the Club’s most valuable asset.

In recognition of his outstanding contribution, dedication and service to Clandeboye Golf Club over the past 34 years, the Management Committee recommends that Honorary Membership be conferred upon Mr Terry Crawford.

This Nomination has been reviewed by the Nomination Committee, who are satified that essential criteria has been met, before going forward to the AGM for approval.

In the past recognition has been given to outstanding performances of individual members in the form of Honorary membership of Clandeboye Golf Club. We, the undersigned, respectfully ask that consideration be given to conferring this honour on a very loyal, long-standing lady member who has been consistently willing to represent Clandeboye, with outstanding results, and therefore, we would ask to formally nominate Nikki Currie for Honorary Membership.

Her achievements over the years are as follows:

Nikki has been a loyal member since she joined in 1983 and during that time she has served on the Ladies committee and on Match and Handicap committee. She was Junior Convenor for a number of years, has held the post of Safeguarding Liaison Officer for Clandeboye Golf Club, and she was Lady Captain in 2023.

She has represented Clandeboye at all levels of Golf during those years, as a member of many Ladies’ Senior Cup; Senior Foursomes, (as captain) and on All-Ireland Mixed Teams. Many of these matches went to All-Ireland Finals .

At Provincial level, Nikki was chosen to play on a number of Ulster teams and has won the Ulster Championship.

She has represented Ulster and Clandeboye Golf Club in National competitions. In 2024, her final position in the Ladies’ Order of Merit led to her selection in the Irish Senior Ladies’ team to play against Scotland. In 2025, she finished 6th in the Irish Order of Merit, and is the Current Joint Leading Player of the Ulster Order of Merit.
