  • North America Diving Dogs Hall of Fame

At North America Diving Dogs, we believe that every dog is great—but not every dog is a Hall of Famer.

The NADD Hall of Fame honors dogs whose achievements, commitment, and impact on the sport go above and beyond. These dogs have not only performed at a high level, but have done so over time, across events, and in meaningful ways that shaped NADD history.

What Makes a Hall of Fame Dog?

The Hall of Fame recognizes dogs who demonstrate a well-rounded legacy. This includes sustained participation, competitive success, and unique accomplishments.

While not every incredible dog will be inducted, those who are selected will have made a significant and lasting contribution to NADD.

All dogs must be at least 7 years old to be submitted.
*The only exception is for dogs who have passed before reaching 7 years of age.*

    How Are Dogs Selected?

Dogs are reviewed anonymously by a panel of judges. Each dog is evaluated across four categories, with most weight given to Category A and Category B, and strongest consideration given to dogs who meet all four categories.

🐾 Hall of Fame Evaluation Categories

CATEGORY A – TOTAL JUMPS (Distance / AR / HD)

➡️ This is a required category.

Must have at least 300 total NADD splashes (combined across Distance, Air Retrieve, and Hydrodash).
If your dog does not meet this minimum, they will not be considered for Hall of Fame.

    CATEGORY B – ACHIEVEMENTS & ATTENDANCE

What accomplishments has your dog earned? (e.g., National Championships, Top 10 rankings, high-level titles)
How many major events has your dog participated in, and how consistently?
    Hard Charger awards?

    CATEGORY C – "MOSTS"

Has your dog achieved the most of something in NADD?
    Examples:

    Most AR Senior splashes
Most total jumps for a specific breed
    Most titles in a discipline

    CATEGORY D – "FIRSTS"

Was your dog the first to accomplish something in NADD?
    Examples:

First of their breed to earn an Advanced or Excellent title
First in their division to achieve a new milestone (i.e. first dog to earned 100 Master AR Q's)

    Final Note

Induction into the NADD Hall of Fame is a special honor that reflects dedication, excellence, and a lasting legacy in our sport. While every dog brings something unique to our lives and the dock, Hall of Fame dogs leave a permanent paw print in NADD history.
