The full season is 13 weeks, running every Monday from June 2 through August 25.
REQUIREMENTS: Vendors are required to bring their own tents, tables, and chairs. The Borough of Plum requires all vendors of the Monday Market to secure tents (if applicable) with weights to prevent accidents. Weights should have at least 20 pounds per lg for a 10x10 tent and 40 pounds per leg for a 10x20. Weights must be securely fastened to the tent leg or frame. Household items loosely tied to the leg are not acceptable. Markets occur rain or shine – plan accordingly.
ARRIVAL & SET-UP – between 2:00 and 2:30PM
Locations are NOT assigned. As vendors arrive, sites will be filled based on type of vendor and size of the site. Once all applications are reviewed and accepted vendors are notified, a site map will be emailed with the locations labeled based on site size and type of vendor (artisan, produce, food, truck, etc.). First come, first serve. Special requests must be included with this application (handicapped, produce, etc.). Reserved parking spaces will be marked on the site map.
- drive in and drop off your tent, products, etc. then move car to the rear parking area at the back of the church before setting up your space. Photographs of your tents will be taken at approximately 2:45PM for social media posts.
- for customer safety, the vendor area will be closed to vehicles at 2:45PM and vendor vehicles will NOT be permitted to enter the walking area after 2:45PM. Vendor cars MUST be parked BEFORE 2:45PM.
EVENT & CLEAN-UP - runs from 3-7pm (NO early exits)
- for safety purposes with pedestrians in the walking area and parking lots, rear vendor vehicles will not be allowed in or out of the vendor area until 7pm or until given permission by BORO staff
- please dispose of any garbage in the provided trash cans or dumpster before leaving the market site
ADVERTISING
- occurs weekly on the Plum Boro Monday Market Facebook page (Sunday, Monday morning, during market), as well as on other Plum community Facebook groups. Feel free to LIKE our page and share the posts on your own media sites.
SPECIAL EVENTS
- ONE Kid Vendor Day – will be scheduled during the season
PARTICIPATION POLICIES
By signing this contract, you are committing to a Full Session of 13 weeks. If for some reason there is a week when you cannot attend and you know this in advance, you must inform Maria via email (mgingery@plumboro.com) at least 1 week ahead of the missed date. It will otherwise be advertised that your business will be in attendance for the session to which you commit.
Barring emergencies, there should be NO last-minute cancellations. If an emergency does occur, you MUST inform Maria ASAP (412-337-3957) Vendors who simply do not show up for the event without prior notification are at risk of not being invited to future Plum Boro markets or special events.
In addition, if there are conflicts between vendors, with Boro staff or with community members, your application will immediately be subject to review by Boro staff and your participation may be revoked pending review. Your business will then be at risk of not being invited to return to future Plum Boro markets and/or special events.
VENDOR CONTRACT:
I, the undersigned, hereby agree to participate in the Monday Market at my own risk and am subject to all rules and regulations of this event. I further agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Borough of Plum, its officers, employees and agents, and anyone involved in the support and/or production of this event against any legal proceedings for any personal injury or property damage arising from or occasioned by our company or its representatives.
