The ABRA Board and team of staff recognize the important role the Splash Park plays for our residents. However, due to the aging infrastructure and increasing costs of maintaining the current facility, it is becoming too costly to keep operational. Additionally, updates to safety and industry standards require the splash park vault to be reconfigured above ground, adding to the complexity and cost of the project.
As we consider investing $300,000 - $500,000 in a new splash park, we must also acknowledge the environmental concerns, such as drought conditions, that could impact its long-term operation. Before making a decision, we want to hear from you—our residents—on how you feel about this potential investment.
