Contestant Rules
1.
1. Most importantly, you are representing yourself, your family, your tribe(s), your community, the Stillwater Pow-Wow, and the Redding Rancheria. Treat all of them with respect.
2. It would not be in your best interest to conduct yourself in any way that would have an adverse effect on yourself, your family, your tribe(s), the Stillwater Pow-Wow and the Redding Rancheria.
3. ATTENTION: It is very important for you, as a contestant and an individual to maintain a high level of moral standards for yourself, now and in the future. It is mandatory that you and your fellow contestants conduct yourselves above and beyond reproach. Examples of unacceptable behavior include the use of alcohol, drugs, smoking in public, profane language and/or outburst of any kind. Any inappropriate photographs/videos depicting any of the above activities on any website such as but not limited to Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, TikTok, etc. will result in disqualification from the contest. This type of behavior will not be tolerated. Any infringement of these moral standards will result in disqualification as a contestant and/or revoking of the title.
4. You must have a good attitude about yourself before, during, and after the contest. You will be required to respect, cooperate, and participate with fellow contestants, the Stillwater Pow Wow Committee, judges and general public.
5. You must be able to attend the Elders Honoring and Princess Dinner on Thursday, October 2nd at 5:45 pm. This is where the judging will take place.
6. You must check in with Louise Davis at the Registration table on Friday, October 3rd at 6:30 pm, and Saturday, October 4th at 11:00 am and 6:00 pm. Please remember to get your dancer registration number.
7. You are solely responsible for all raffle tickets assigned to you. You must turn in any unsold tickets and the money you raised no later than Thursday, October 2nd. If you lose raffle tickets or do not turn them in you will be required to pay for them.
8. Once your tickets and money are accounted for, you will be encouraged to obtain additional tickets to sell from Thursday, October 2nd until Saturday, October 4th at the Pow-wow and tickets, ticket tracking form(s) and money must be turned in no later than 3:00 pm Saturday.
9. You are responsible for your personal belongings at all times. The Stillwater Pow Wow Committee, the Redding Rancheria, Sponsors of the Pow Wow and Win-River Casino are not responsible for contestants’ personal belongings, loss of articles, theft, or injury.
10. You shall be between the ages of 7-20, unmarried and no children.
11. You will be required to attend all grand entries and closing ceremonies once you are crowned.

I hereby agree and promise to abide by the above Code of Conduct/General Guidelines as a contestant of the Warrior/Jr. Brave/Little Brave and Miss Stillwater/ Jr. Miss Stillwater/Little Miss Stillwater Princess Contest. I understand that I may be disqualified as a contestant of the Princess Contest if I deviate from any of the conditions outlined above.
