globalFEST, founded in 2003, is a non-profit organization that produces two annual festivals of music from around the world, a global music and culture conference, curated stages, and a collaboration with NPR Music's Tiny Desk. gF's work is based on the belief that music can be a driving force toward a society that values cultural diversity as a source of unity rather than division. We pursue this by moving global music – from traditional to contemporary and the hybrids in between – to the center of the cultural conversation and the center of the performing arts field.
Please fill out this form to submit your band/s for globalFEST, which will take place in January 2026.
globalFEST's annual January festival is one of North America’s most important cultural events, attracting a large number of performing arts professionals, open-minded music fans and press.
The goal of globalFEST is to provide a platform for artists to perform in front of hundreds of industry professionals (alongside over 2,000 general public) who are in NYC to attend the annual Arts Presenters Conference. gF hosts at least 10 artists with superb technical conditions, so they can be seen and heard as they would at any major music venue or festival across the country. The artists perform on three unique stages in one night over 6 hours and attendees can see all the bands by moving from stage to stage.
Participating artists have gone on to tour North America at theaters, events and festivals across the country and around the world. Tours and cultural exchanges, as well as features and articles, that result from participating at globalFEST have built an ever-widening audience for global music and, by extension, an increase in cultural diplomacy, international cooperation and collaboration.
