  • PMF Foundation Funding Principles

  • Trust-Based Philanthropy (Our Funding Approach):

Our funding model is grounded in trust-based philanthropy. We seek to build respectful, transparent relationships with our partners and support organisational leaders to direct resources where they are most needed. We aim to minimise unnecessary burden, value lived expertise, and encourage open communication and learning.

    Prevention:

We prioritise organisations and projects that focus on preventative approaches — addressing root causes and reducing the likelihood or severity of future challenges.

    Enablement:

We support organisations and initiatives where funding can unlock growth, strengthen capability, or expand impact — enabling the next stage of development and effectiveness.

    Innovation:

We prioritise creative and forward-thinking approaches that respond to needs in new, practical, and improved ways.

    Collaboration:

We value collaboration across organisations and sectors, recognising that shared knowledge, networks, and coordinated effort lead to stronger and more sustainable outcomes.
