LBP Youth Programming Registration 26'-27'

Fill out the form carefully to register for Little Black Pearl's afterschool program. Each area of focus is designed to help youth build foundations skills in an art ending with a culminating event to showcase the skills they have learn, display final creations, sale merchandise, and perform live. Throughout the program youth will participate in personal development, art workshops, and learn about the business of art.
Youth Creative Workshops & Opportunities

Little Black Pearl offers hands-on creative learning experiences that encourage artistic expression, skill development, and exploration of future career pathways. Workshops are designed for two age groups, with activities tailored to students' experience and developmental levels.

Ages 9–12 | Creative Exploration

Students are introduced to creative disciplines through engaging, beginner-friendly activities that encourage imagination, confidence, and collaboration.

Available Workshops:
- Visual Arts & Painting: Explore drawing, painting, color, and creative expression.
- Ceramics: Learn basic hand-building techniques and create original clay projects.
Ages 13–18 | Creative Development & Career Pathways

Students develop technical skills, complete creative projects, and explore how their interests connect to educational and professional opportunities.

Available Workshops:
- Music Production & Sound Engineering: Learn beat production, recording, audio editing, and studio fundamentals.
- Fashion & Apparel Design: Explore design concepts, digital mock-ups, apparel production, and branding.
- Visual Arts & Ceramics: Develop artistic techniques and complete original projects.
- Photography & Multimedia: Explore photography, digital content creation, and visual storytelling.
- Creative Entrepreneurship & Portfolio Development: Build creative projects, explore business concepts, and prepare work for future opportunities.
Student Experiences & Incentives

Depending on the workshop, students may have opportunities to:
- Create and take home original artwork or customized products.
- Develop digital projects, music, and creative portfolios.
- Participate in student showcases and collaborative experiences.
- Gain exposure to creative professionals and potential career pathways.
- Receive information about special student opportunities and partner initiatives.

Little Black Pearl connects eligible students with additional creative workshops, mentorship, and educational opportunities through partner organizations. Participation may depend on age, grade level, prior program involvement, and individual application requirements.

- Pensole Design Workshops - Ages 13–18
- Jordan Brand / Jordan Wings - High school seniors, including students who have previously participated in LBP programming and become eligible during their senior year.

Only three students will be selected from the eligible applications received for nomination consideration. All applicants must complete the required essay and nomination information by November 1, 2026. Selection does not guarantee a scholarship award.
