By Booking a stall at any Blackboard Events Markets you are agreeing to the following Terms & Conditions:
All stalls must be booked in advance and have the correct relevant paperwork.
A 50% non-refundable deposit is required to secure your booking.
No Booking will be confirmed without receipt of the deposit.
Deposits must be paid within 7 days of invoice issued or your booking will be automatically released to another trader without further notice. We will no longer be chasing payments - It is the trader's responsibility to ensure timely settlement.
If your booking is made within FOUR (4) weeks of the market date, full payment is required upfront to secure your space. In these cases, the full payment is non-refundable and non-transferable.
Final Payment: The remaining 50% balance must be paid no later than FOUR (4) weeks prior to the market date.
If full payment is not received by this deadline, your booking will be cancelled & your deposit forfeited.
All cancellations must be made in writing via email to blackboardeventsuk@gmail.com
The 50% deposit is non-refundable under any circumstances.
Cancellations made less than FOUR (4) weeks before the market date will result in no refund of any fees paid.
Please note that if you need to cancel your booking, we are unable to transfer your payment to a future market date. We kindly ask that you ensure your availability before booking, as all payments are non-transferable and non-refundable.
Stallholders who fail to attend without prior written notice will forfeit all fees.
Weather Policy: The market runs in all weather conditions unless officially cancelled by the organiser.
Refunds will not be given for stallholder cancellations due to weather concerns.
Changes to Market Dates: In the event we must cancel or reschedule the market, stallholders will be either be offered a FULL REFUND, Credit or transfer to a future event.
We are not liable for any financial loss incurred due to changes in scheduling.
Stallholder Code of Conduct
This Code of Conduct sets out the expected standards of behaviour and responsibilities for all stallholders at BLACKBOARD MARKETS to ensure a safe, professional, and enjoyable environment for everyone.
1. Professional Conduct
Stallholders must behave in a professional, courteous, and respectful manner at all times.
Disputes between stallholders should be handled calmly and reported to the event organiser if necessary.
Use of inappropriate, offensive, or aggressive language is strictly prohibited.
2. Health and Safety
Stallholders must comply with all health and safety regulations.
Ensure stalls are safe and do not pose a risk to visitors or other stallholders.
Report any hazards or accidents to the event organiser immediately.
3. Respect for Others
Treat fellow stallholders, staff, and visitors with respect and consideration.
Do not engage in behaviour that could be construed as harassment, intimidation, or bullying.
Maintain a professional environment for all attendees.
4. Stall Presentation and Operations
Ensure your stall is tidy, well-presented, and compliant with event guidelines.
Keep your area within allocated boundaries.
Remove waste and leave your area in a clean condition at the end of the event.
5. Compliance with Laws and Regulations
Comply with all relevant laws, including trading, fire, and licensing regulations.
Ensure all products sold are legal and meet safety standards.
6. Reporting Concerns
Any concerns about behaviour or safeguarding must be reported promptly to the event organiser.
Stallholders are encouraged to raise concerns if they witness unsafe or inappropriate behaviour.
7. Consequences of Breach
Breaches of this Code may result in warnings, suspension from future events, or removal from the market.
Serious breaches, particularly those involving safety or safeguarding issues, may be referred to the appropriate authorities.
STILTON MARKET
Set up is from 08:15am with your stall to be ready to go at 9:30am. Derig starts at 13:00pm and we must depart the building by 13:30pm. Please DO NOT pack down until 13:00pm.
Stallholder parking is located at the venue. Please use the back of the car park along the grass area.
Stallholders must have Public Liability Insurance (at least 1 million) and include a copy of the certificate.
Food businesses must be registered with their local authority and provide a copy of their Food Hygiene certificate. Risk Assessments will also be required.
Organisers can refuse any stall applications due to limited space, existing bookings, or other reasons.
Electrical sockets should not be used without prior approval from the organisers. All appliances must be PAT tested, and any extension cables must have a circuit breaker.
All stallholders are responsible for providing their OWN table(s). A Limited number of tables can be hired and must be done in advance.
All items must have the required labels as per regulations. Product prices should be clearly displayed.
Stalls are assigned by the organisers. Please let us know if you have any specific requirements. Multiple stalls will be placed together unless stated otherwise. The standard stall size is 6ft (1.82m).
Whenever possible, all products should be locally sourced. We ask that you avoid using single-use plastic bags and instead use paper bags when appropriate.
No sub-letting of stalls is permitted.
All stalls must be booked in advance. Your booking is confirmed once the booking form, required documents, and full deposit are received. FULL Payment must be made three weeks before the event.
Payment of the invoice means you accept these terms and conditions. Nude Candle Co Limited, trading as Blackboard Events, is not VAT-registered.
