Fremantle Community Grants Program
The Rotary Club of Fremantle recognises the great contributions made by Community Groups
within the City of Fremantle and is offering financial support, so groups can continue to contribute
positively to the community.
To assist these Community Groups, the Rotary Club of Fremantle has developed a Community
Grants program.
Who can apply?
The Community Grants program is open to all community groups in the City of Fremantle.
How much can a group apply for?
The maximum funding available to any group is $500.
What can the group apply for?
The community grants can be used for a variety of projects, such as:
• Community Events – this can include fund raising activities
• School based projects – awards, sponsorships and projects for schools
• Community Group Development - office equipment, stationary and printing
• Access and inclusion – improve access and involvement for people with a disability/disadvantaged
• Seniors – Senior related projects
• Community camp; sports awards – Individual achievements in sport or club development
Applications
Applications are open all year round, should be no more than one page and include details of the
project (What it is for, who is benefitting).

No formal documentation or submission of receipts are required, however a short write up of the
event, with a Facebook post and/or photos, must be submitted within one month of completion of
the project.
Limitations and conditions
The projects must be of benefit to the local community.
The grants are not recurrent and must be applied for each project.
The Rotary Club of Fremantle must be recognised as a supporter.
Community Groups who have successfully applied for grants from other sources are still eligible to
apply for the Rotary Community Grant on the understanding the Grant money contributes to the
identified project and does not create surplus funds.
