Help Shape the Future of LCI's Planning Guidelines!
The Governor's Office of Land Use and Climate Innovation (LCI) is conducting a comprehensive update of the State’s General Plan, Specific Plan, and Tribal Consultation Guidelines, collectively known as LCI's Planning Guidelines. The update process kicked off in June 2025 and is expected to take approximately two years. As California's principal planning agency, LCI provides guidance to support local communities in achieving their long-term goals and visions for the future. This update process will engage diverse partners—planners, local staff and officials, and other community partners involved in planning processes—to contribute through a variety of listening sessions, focus groups, regional workshops, and online surveys. Please complete the form below to receive updates about the Planning Guidelines update and ways to be involved in the process!
