Five Secrets Deep Practice Group with Heather Clague MD - May-June 2025
Hone your communication skills with the Five Secrets of Effective Communication by Dr. David D. Burns. In addition to learning the Five Secrets, we will examine the Benefits of Blame and work with the Relationship Journal so that you can learn to pinpoint your role in any relationship and empower yourself to improve it. Each class will have brief didactics, demonstrations, and breakout groups to give plenty of time for practice and feedback on scenarios that are important to you. Group size limited to 8 participants. Group meets for six 90 minute sessions via Zoom on 6 Wednesdays from 4:15-5:45pm starting May 14 - June 18th, 2025. This group is lead by Heather Clague, MD, level 5 TEAM-CBT Master therapist and trainer.

The book, Feeling Good Together, by David D. Burns MD is required reading for this group. Will you commit to reading the first two parts (Chapters 1-11) before the first meeting, and to read all six parts by the last session?

This 5 Secrets group is intended as education to help people get closer to people they would like to get closer to, but is NOT intended to treat any illness and is also NOT an emotional support group. There will NOT be any support in between groups or after the group is over. There is absolutely NO treatment contract between myself and Dr. Clague implied by this group. I take full responsibility for my own health and indemnify, defend and hold harmless any of the above persons and/or entities if I experience any adverse feelings or health during or after this group whether or not they may relate to the group in any way.
