2024-25 HOCKEY PEI SCHOLARSHIPS

The following scholarships will be presented at the Hockey PEI Annual General Meeting.
Jim Stirling Scholarship Program – BFL Canada:
BFL Canada are retained as Insurance Brokers for Hockey Canada. They are committed towards risk management, loss control objectives and assisting in making the game of hockey a safe and enjoyable sport. As long time insurance brokers of Hockey Canada, BFL Canada provides each provincial branch with a $1,000 scholarship in honour of their dear college and friend Jim Stirling who passed away in 2011.

The Scholarship will be awarded to a member either entering or currently enrolled in a university/college program who has, in the opinion of the Association, displayed a high degree of tenacity and dedication to his or her team/position combined with scholastic excellence. The recipient will be selected by a Committee composed of Hockey PEI executives and will be awarded at the Annual General Meeting to be held in June.

Hockey PEI Scholastic Award:
The Hockey PEI Board of Directors respects the hard work and dedication it takes to balance both school and hockey; to excel at both takes real discipline and determination. In appreciation of this, Hockey PEI is providing a Scholastic Award valued at $1000 to a deserving member entering university/college in the ensuing year, who has, in the opinion of the Association, displayed a high degree of tenacity and dedication to his/her team, combined with scholastic excellence. The recipient will be selected by a Committee composed of Hockey PEI executives and will be awarded at the Annual General Meeting to be held in June.
