Noise & Testing Environment Policy
To ensure accurate leak detection and effective testing, NJ Pool Patcher requires a quiet environment while performing services. Excessive noise can interfere with our specialized equipment and prevent us from accurately locating leaks within pools.
The Client agrees to pause or reschedule any of the following activities while NJ Pool Patcher is on-site: Loud music, Parties or large gatherings. Construction work (including drilling, sawing, or heavy machinery use) Landscaping interruption work (mowing, trimming, leaf blowers, or other loud equipment). Pool Patcher reserves the right to leave the property and reschedule the appointment. Additionally, if our team must wait for noise levels to be reduced, a $50 fee will be charged for every 15 minutes of downtime caused by this interruption. Please keep in mind we charge per service, not by hour.
Locating of Underground Plumbing Leaks
NJ Pool Patcher uses advanced equipment to locate underground plumbing leaks with a high degree of accuracy. However, due to the nature of sound transmission through soil and pipe materials, some margin of false or reflective noise transmissions is possible when pinpointing the exact location of a hidden underground leak.
We strive to mark the leak location as accurately as possible. In most cases:
- Leak locations are identified within 12 inches of the compromised pipe.
- In rare cases, the marked area may be within 3 feet of the actual leak due to factors such as soil conditions, pipe depth, or surrounding noise interference.
The homeowner understands and agrees that while NJ Pool Patcher uses the most advanced listening and locating methods, our team will always do their best to identify and mark the leak with the highest level of precision possible.
Dog Owners
All dog owners are required to ensure that the pool deck, surrounding areas, and pump area remain free of dog feces BEFORE our arrival: This is essential to uphold safety / slipping, hygiene, and quality standards during the provision of our services. If the area if covered in feces, we reserve the right to leave the cancel the appointment and leave the property at any time. A $100 fee will apply
Communication & Data Recording Policy
Covers phone calls, emails, text/SMS, and all other communication channels
By engaging our services, clients consent to the recording and storage of phone calls, emails, text or SMS messages, and all other forms of communication: This information may be retained for quality assurance, training, future enhancement or reference purposes. All data will be handled in compliance with applicable laws and regulations to ensure client privacy and confidentiality.
*Possible Additional Part Costs for Pressure Testing (over quoted amount)
During the course of pressure testing your pool’s plumbing system, additional parts or connectors may be required to complete the test properly. NJ Pool Patcher will always make every effort to perform testing without cutting any above-ground pipes at the pump equipment when possible. However, in certain situations, cutting a pipe may be necessary to fully and accurately assess the integrity of the plumbing lines.
If cutting is required, the homeowner acknowledges and agrees that additional fittings may be needed to restore the plumbing to its original condition. These fittings may include:
- Standard Coupling: $1.30 each
- Deep Set Coupling for Flex Pipe: $2.50 each
- Union Connector: $10.50 each
- Flex Pipe: $3.00 per foot
- Ridgid PVC Pipe: $1.00 per foot
- Misc Elbows, Fittings, or Caps: $2.00 each
While NJ Pool Patcher does not charge for labor to install or repair the pipe cut during testing, the cost of parts will be billed to the customer at the rates listed above.
Please note: Due to ongoing industry-wide increases in materials costs, these parts are provided at our cost as a courtesy to our customers. By agreeing to have your pool pressure tested, you acknowledge and accept the possibility of additional part charges as described and agree for installation without prior approval.
Pump Equipment Access
In order to properly perform leak detection and pressure testing, full access to the pool's pump and filtration equipment is required. The homeowner or property representative is responsible for ensuring that all equipment is free of overgrown vegetation, bees, hornets, wasps, dog feces, unlocked, accessible, and free from obstructions at the time of service.
If NJ Pool Patcher technicians are unable to access the pump area due to the above, this will result in delays, rescheduling, and an additional service visit fee of $100.
Furthermore, NJ Pool Patcher is not responsible for any issues related to inaccessible or hidden plumbing lines that prevent a complete inspection or testing.
By scheduling service, the customer agrees to provide safe and clear access to all necessary plumbing and equipment areas.
Water Spigot and Electrical Outlet Requirements:
To complete leak detection and pressure testing services effectively, access to a working outdoor water spigot and a standard electrical outlet is required at the property.
The homeowner agrees to provide:
- A functioning water spigot (garden hose hookup)
- A standard 110V electrical outlet
Failure to provide access to water and electricity may result in incomplete service, delays, rescheduling, and a service trip fee of $100.
NJ Pool Patcher is not responsible for incomplete testing if required utilities are unavailable at the time of the scheduled appointment.
