  • Position Descriptions:

     

    President - 1 Position (2-year term to start 1/1/2026 and conclude on 12/31/2027)
    1. Keep the chapter focused on setting and maintaining its goals.
    2. Oversee officers and committees and encourage teamwork.
    3. Maintain the operations of the chapter.

     

    Board of Directors - 2 Positions (2-year term to start 1/1/2026 and conclude on 12/31/2027)
    1. Conduct the business of the Chapter between meetings and perform such other tasks as assigned by the membership or as prescribed in these guidelines.
    2. Establish policies and procedures for the transaction of business and coordination of association activities, including but not limited to:
         a. care of materials and equipment;
         b. establishing fiscal policies and procedures, adopting a budget, and authorizing payment of legitimate expenses; and
         c. ensures annual auditing of books.
    3. Report to the membership the business transacted in the interim between meetings, including but not limited to inclusion of a financial statement at the annual meeting.
    4. Devise and develop measures for the growth and development of the Chapter.
    5. Provide for the coordination of activities of the Chapter.
    6. Provide a Chair for such committees as are necessary to carry out the functions and achieve the objectives of the Chapter.
    7. Fill vacancies on the Board of Directors.
    8. Determine the time and place for all regular meetings of the Chapter.
    9. Appoint a Historian.

     

    Treasurer - 1 Position (2-year term to start 1/1/2026 and conclude on 12/31/2027)
    1. Ensures that the chapter maintains accurate financial records.
    2. Reviews chapter expenditures and financial status on a regular basis to ensure overall fiscal integrity.
    3. Ensures that regular financial reports are submitted to the Chapter and presents an annual financial report.
    4. Provides annual report and interpretation of financial conditions to the board and membership at the Membership Assembly.

     

    Nominating Committee - 1 Position (2-year term to start 1/1/2026 and conclude on 12/31/2027)
    1. Recruit qualified candidates for open positions.
    2. If there are no qualified candidates for any position the Nominations Committee in concert with the VNA is responsible for continuing the recruitment of candidates until there is at least one nominee eligible to be placed on the ballot for each elected position.
    3. Treat all information and discussion in a confidential manner.
    4. Exhibit no bias or advocacy for any candidates or issues.
