The Study Abroad program supports women who are Japanese nationals or special permanent residents who wish to study abroad for a graduate degree in an English-speaking program. Scholarships are awarded based on a candidate’s academic excellence, the quality and feasibility of their proposed plan of study, and their potential to contribute to society. The Scholarship does not have any restrictions on field of study or age.

CWAJ launched the CWAJ Cartier Scholarship in 2023 in collaboration with Cartier Japan, which has a long-standing commitment to empowering women. This scholarship to nurture future changemakers is also for a Japanese woman to pursue a graduate degree abroad but with a focus on her potential to contribute to society through entrepreneurship and business. The Scholarship does not have any restrictions on field of study or age.
