This contract is designed to outline the terms and conditions of the driver's education program offered by Webb’s Wheels Driving Academy.
Purpose, Goals, and Objectives:
- The purpose of this program is to provide comprehensive driver education to students, ensuring they develop the necessary knowledge and skills to become safe and responsible drivers. Our goals include promoting safe driving practices, instilling confidence in our students, and preparing them for success in obtaining their driver's license.
Statement of Non-Discrimination:
- Webb’s Wheels Driving Academy is committed to providing a learning environment free from discrimination based on race, ethnicity, or gender. We welcome all students, irrespective of their background, and strive to create an inclusive and supportive atmosphere for learning.
Financial Responsibility:
- The school assumes full financial responsibility for any accidents occurring in school-owned vehicles during periods of instruction. Students and parents/legal guardians are not held financially liable for such incidents.
Minimum Classroom and Behind-the-Wheel Instruction(to earn driver’s license):
- For students under 18 years of age, they must pass a Driver’s Education course which is offered in the 10th grade for LCPS, hold a valid VA Learner’s Permit and have driven for 45 hours. Additionally, the minimum number of periods of behind-the-wheel instruction required for students under 18 is 7 50-minutes behind-the-wheel driving and 7 50-minutes observation. Each class session will include 1 period of driving and 1 period of observing. In total, there will be 7 sessions/days of instruction for behind the wheel.
1-on-1 Private Lessons:
- All students must hold a valid VA Learner’s Permit. Each lesson will be geared towards the level of driving experience of the student. Depending on their level, instruction may take place in parking lots, residential neighborhoods, minor roads, main roads, traffic circles, two-way roads, merging, highways, evasive maneuvers etc.
Price and Payment Terms:
- The behind the wheel program costs $625.
- 1-on-1 private lesson(s) prices are as follows: 1(60 minute session) $120, 3 sessions $350, 5 sessions $575, 10 sessions $1,100. All money is due before the first session.
- Park like a Pro: 30-Minute Session costs $50
No Guarantee of Passing State License Examination:
- Completion of the instruction period does not guarantee that any student will pass the state license examination or secure a license, nor does it guarantee employment upon completion of any course instruction.
Missed Instruction Makeup Policy:
- Missed classroom or in-vehicle instruction will be made up according to student and instructor availability.
Additional Charges:
- For any cancellation or no show with less than 24 hours notice, there will be an additional $50 charge.
- After the schedule is set for behind the wheel, there will be a $50 convivence fee for any change of date/time. This $50 convivence fee will be charged for each day changed and that payment will be due by the next scheduled lesson.
- If student fails the driving test on the 7th day of behind the wheel then an 8th day can be scheduled for an additional $75.
- Refunds will be issued upon written request and must be received by Webb's Wheels Driving Academy within 36 hours of your registration. Requests may be submitted by email to Webbswheelsda@gmail.com. Refunds will not be issued for any services rendered. A $50 processing fee will be assessed to any refunds.
