    ourSCAPE ART CHALLENGE Entry Form

Please complete the form below to provide details about your submission.
  • The OurSCAPE Art Challenge is an opportunity for artists in a variety of disciplines to come together over 3 weekends at 3 different venues across the Whitsunday Mackay and Isaac regions to create art en plein air.

    THE ourSCAPE CHALLENGE…

“Landscape (artmaking) gives artists a real opportunity to be creative and thoughtful. We are not looking for something “correct” or “accurate”; rather we want to see a particular scene through someone else’s eyes.” Kate (Sky Arts Landscape of the Year)

“(We) want to see artworks that celebrate the great, the good, the bad and the ugly of our fabulous landscapes. Landscape in the broadest and most challenging sense. Whether you’re a confident old hand or a tentative beginner, we can’t wait to see what surprises are in store for us.”  Kathleen (Sky Arts Landscape of the Year)

“We hope to find artists who rise to the occasion and emulate (the) great artists  in a fresh and contemporary way.” Tai (Sky Arts Landscape of the Year)

Works that are noteworthy and best reflect the artful creative expression of the landscape or scene will be identified by the event mentor/s for special mention.  Mentioned works will be given a goodie bag packed with art materials and discounts.

All works completed en plein air at any of the 3 ourSCAPE rounds will be eligible to be included in an exhibition / public auction of works at Gallery•31, CQUni Mackay City Campus – Friday 24th October 2025. Proceeds will be distributed as 80% – artist; 10% – Orange Sky; 10% – Artists Connect Inc. (to cover costs of the event).
