  • Pets

    The only permitted travel is Assistance Dogs, under the Equality Act 2010, taxi and private hire vehicle (PHV) drivers in the UK must carry assistance dogs (such as guide or hearing dogs) at no extra charge. A driver can only refuse an assistance dog if they hold a valid medical exemption certificate (usually for severe allergies) issued by their local authority, which must be clearly displayed in the vehicle.
  • Event or Venue Pickups Are No Longer Available After 23:00 Hours

    Apologies, I no longer provide a pickup service from events or venues after 23:00 hrs, this is due to early morning airport drop-off or pickup bookings, whereby I need enough rest to avoid driver fatigue.

    No additional charges apply for unsociable hours or public holidays. The price quoted covers all airport fees. GUARANTEED.
  • What I Need From You for Airport Terminal Transfers

    You must have confirmed travel dates, times, and a UK return flight number if returning to the UK before a quotation can be provided.

  • Airport Travel Guide Times

    To help your journey run smoothly, you can use Google Maps to estimate your travel time, remembering to include any additional pickups. Please note that Google Maps is not always fully accurate. I recommend adding an extra 30–45 minutes to allow for potential delays for Heathrow, Gatwick, Luton and Stansted airports, such as loading luggage, traffic slow‑downs, roadworks, diversions, or incidents. Travel from Hythe, the New Forest, or Southampton, this additional time is already reflected in the guidance below to help you arrive relaxed and with plenty of time to spare.
  • Working Out Your Airport Pickup Time

    Your airline will specify how early to arrive—normally 2 hours before UK and European flights, and 3 hours for long haul. Use that advice together with the guide below to work out when to leave home. Just add the two together and count back from your departure time. Do this, and you’ll waltz into the airport as cool as a cucumber, ready for a stress free start to your holiday.

  • Cruise Ship Boarding Advice

    Wait until you have your boarding details before enquiring. Cruise ship companies typically send out your boarding time 2–3 weeks before departure. If you haven’t received this yet and still waiting for that golden ticket and choose to estimate, adjusting your pickup time later can be trickier than finding a free sun lounger onboard. I will certainly try to accommodate any changes, but it’s best to come back once your boarding time is confirmed, as my schedules are fixed.
  • Cruise Disembarkation Advice

    Finishes aroud 10:30 hrs as the cruise ships start embarkation for the next cruise going out, this is the latest time you can book. If you’re not sure what time you will be disembarking, you have three options available to you: 1 - My advice wait until you are onboard, you will usually be advised of your disembarkation time a day or two before arrival in port, you can always come back to enquire. 2 - Book for 09:45 hrs as a safe default, I will always try to help if you need to disembark before this time. 3 - Call on the day around 07:00 hrs. I may not always be available at short notice. I will try and assist where I can. Please note it will take me 45 minutes from your call on all three options.
  • Cruise Ship Quote Requirements

    Quotes will only be issued once you have received your official boarding time from the cruise line. This is normally confirmed 2–3 weeks before departure. Once your boarding time has been provided, I will be able to give you an accurate quote and you will then be able to secure your enquiry as a confirmed booking. This policy is in place to prevent customers from guessing estimated times in advance. If I were to allocate a slot without the confirmed information from the cruise line, it often leads to last‑minute changes which can’t be done or cancellations. In those situations, refunds aren’t possible, as I may already have other transfers scheduled. To ensure every customer receives a reliable and fair service, quotes are only issued once your official boarding time has been confirmed.
  • Safeguarding Policy

    For any additional pickups or drop-offs, full addresses must be provided. Without this information, your request will be REJECTED and placed at the back of the queue until the details are supplied. This policy is in place to ensure accuracy and safeguards both parties.
  • How To Keep The Quote Low

    If you can keep your pickup and drop‑off to a single address, your wallet will thank you—each additional stop increases the cost of your quote.

    Airport fees and operational costs are changing at an alarming rate at the moment which are outside of my control. For this reason, quotations are only being provided if your travel falls within 4 months of your travel date, as I will then have a better idea of the fare for your trip. See below.

    You may bring up to 4 suitcases (XL) as these take up quite a lot of space or 8 suitcases (L or M) plus 4 rucksacks/small holdalls, or 12 medium/small suitcases, 6 rucksacks/small holdalls which is the maximum in total. For golfing trips, the allowance is:• Golfing holidays: up to 4 golf bags and 4 suitcases (Max).• Golfing day trips: up to 6 golf bags and 6 rucksacks/holdalls (Max). These limits ensure your baggage can be stored and safely transported.

  • Child & Booster Seat Policy - UK Law For Private Hire & Taxis

    For the safety and comfort of all passengers, Keith’s Private Hire follows current UK child‑seat regulations for licensed private hire and taxi vehicles. As there are hundreds of child seats on the market — each suited to different ages, sizes and safety requirements — it isn’t possible to guarantee the correct seat for every child. There are also important hygiene and storage considerations, so I’m unable to store personal child seats while you are away if you choose to bring your own. Under UK regulations, children may travel without a child seat only when seated in the rear and facing forward: - Aged 3 or over: they must wear an adult seat belt - Under 3: they may travel without a seat belt.
