Seminole County is comprised of 82 separate voting precincts. The Seminole County Democratic Party has Precinct Captains (PC), voting members of the party who volunteer their time to make outreach to Democrats (and other voters) within their own precincts. Some precincts have more than 2,000 registered Democrats, making this a daunting task for any volunteer.
The Block Captain and neighbor to neighbor program provides a smaller-scale opportunity for volunteers to take ownership of their own neighborhood. We would like you to reach out to your neighbors - we will give you a list of Dems and if you request it NPA's. The idea is when you know who your neighbors are they it will be easy to reach out. Some of our Block captains have even started parties and picnics. We will provide list of names, addresses and a map. We do like if you would download the Minivan app as it makes it easier for you and us.
Specific expectations:
Physical outreach to each Democrat within your assigned zone, on an annual basis
As you are able, provide additional outreach to your neighbors regarding specific events, issues or voting initiatives, and distribute voter guides during election season
Maintain an active communication with your respective/assigned Precinct Captain
