Summer Lash Camp Waiver

Consent for Emergency Medical Treatment:

Statement: "In the event of a medical emergency, I authorize the event organizers to seek necessary medical treatment on my behalf. I understand that I am responsible for any medical costs incurred."

By signing this waiver, the participant acknowledges and accepts full responsibility for any risks associated with participating in Summer Lash Camp, including but not limited to physical activities, outdoor conditions, and general event participation.

Inherent Risks of Participation
-The participant understands and agrees that Summer Lash Camp includes activities that may involve physical exertion, height-related challenges, and potential hazards, such as but not limited to:

Adventure & Recreational Activities:

-Rock climbing, axe throwing, obstacle courses, team-building exercises, relay races, and other physical games.
-Water Activities: Swimming, wading, or any exposure to natural or man-made water sources.
-Outdoor & Environmental Exposure: Uneven terrain, slippery surfaces, extreme temperatures, sun exposure, insect bites, allergies, or wildlife encounters.
-General Camp Hazards: Campfires, BBQ grills, kitchen areas, shared accommodations, and interactions with other participants.
-Unforeseen Risks: The participant acknowledges that other unknown or unanticipated risks may arise during the event.

Voluntary Participation & Acceptance of Risk
-The participant voluntarily chooses to participate and understands the risks associated with these activities.
-The participant agrees that they are in suitable physical condition to engage in any chosen activities and will immediately notify event organizers of any personal limitations or medical concerns.
-The participant understands that event organizers, staff, or venue owners are not responsible for monitoring their personal safety, fitness level, or ability to participate in any activities.

Waiver & Release of Liability
By signing below, the participant (or their legal guardian if under 18) fully releases and holds harmless Summer Lash Camp organizers, staff, venue owners, and affiliates from any and all claims, injuries, losses, damages, or liabilities resulting from participation in camp activities, including but not limited to:

-Bodily injury (sprains, fractures, concussions, cuts, bruises, or other physical harm).
-Allergic reactions (food, environmental, or insect-related).
-Property loss or damage (personal belongings, clothing, or gear).
-Acts of nature (weather conditions, wildlife encounters, or natural terrain hazards).

 

Personal Responsibility & Safety Agreement
-The participant agrees to follow all safety rules and instructions given by event staff and activity facilitators.
-The participant understands that failure to follow safety guidelines or reckless behavior may result in removal from the event without refund.
-The participant is responsible for their own health and well-being throughout the duration of the event.

By signing below, the participant acknowledges that they have read, understood, and fully accept all risks associated with Summer Lash Camp. They further agree that they are solely responsible for any consequences of their participation and will not hold the event organizers liable for any injury, accident, or loss.

Agreement to abide by camp rules, including:

General Code of Conduct

Respect for staff, fellow participants, and property

No alcohol, drugs, or disruptive behavior. 

DO NOT BRING WEED OR SMOKE WEED ON PREMISES or you will be responsible for paying Black Diamond Camp the fees for destruction of propery. 

No alcohol beyond the designated areas

Adherence to safety guidelines

Acknowledgment that violating these rules may result in dismissal without refund, and being held responsible for paying any and all fees incured. 

Any form of harassment, discrimination, or disruptive behavior will result in immediate dismissal from the event without a refund.

Illegal substances, alcohol (unless explicitly permitted by event staff for age-appropriate attendees), and unauthorized guests are strictly prohibited.
Participants must respect the venue’s property, including sleeping areas, common spaces, and provided amenities.

Liability for Damages & Venue Fines:

Participants are financially responsible for any damages they cause to the venue, event property, or equipment, whether intentional or accidental.

If a participant’s actions result in fines, penalties, or fees being issued to the event organizers (e.g., violations of venue rules, noise complaints, property damage), the participant agrees to fully reimburse the event organizers for those costs.

If disciplinary action is required, the event organizers reserve the right to remove the participant from the premises immediately without refund.

By signing this waiver, the participant acknowledges that failure to comply with these rules may result in dismissal from the event, personal liability for damages, and legal action if necessary to recover financial losses.

Consent to be photographed or recorded for promotional use.

By signing this waiver, the participant acknowledges and agrees to the following terms regarding lodging arrangements at Summer Lash Camp:

Room Assignments & Sleeping Arrangements
-Each room will be shared among three (3) participants.
-Each room includes:One (1) queen-size bed
-One (1) bunk bed (top and bottom)
-Blankets and pillows provided
-It is each group’s responsibility to decide who sleeps where. Organizers will not be involved in bed assignments.

Bathroom & Shared Spaces
-Each room has one (1) private bathroom and shower, which must be shared among the three assigned participants.
-Participants must respect each other’s time and space when using the bathroom.

 

Roommate Assignments & Compatibility
-Event organizers will make an effort to pair participants with others they are likely to get along with, but we cannot guarantee perfect compatibility between roommates.
-Participants agree to be respectful of their roommates and maintain a clean, cooperative shared living space.

 

Keys & Personal Responsibility
-Each participant will receive a key to their assigned room.
-It is the participant’s responsibility to keep track of their key. If a key is lost, the participant may be responsible for replacement fees as required by the venue.

Guest Policy & Unauthorized Access
-No unregistered guests are allowed in participant rooms.
-Only individuals who have purchased a Weekend Experience Pass may be hosted in rooms.
-Participants may not invite outside guests into their lodging space at any time.

Lodging Is Provided “As Is”
-Participants acknowledge that lodging is provided as is, and no special accommodations, changes, or room upgrades will be made.
-Participants accept all lodging conditions, including shared sleeping arrangements and restroom facilities.

 

By signing this waiver, the participant agrees to these terms and understands that failure to comply may result in penalties, removal from lodging, or dismissal from Summer Lash Camp without refund.

Acknowledgment that participants are responsible for their own transportation to and from the camp.

Agreement that camp organizers are not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged personal property.

By signing this waiver, the participant acknowledges and agrees to the following strict no-refund policy for Summer Lash Camp:

No Refunds – No Exceptions
All payments for Summer Lash Camp are non-refundable and non-transferable, regardless of the circumstances. This includes, but is not limited to:

-Failure to attend for any reason, including illness, scheduling conflicts, personal emergencies, or travel delays.
-Deciding not to participate after purchasing a pass.
-Dissatisfaction with the camp experience, including accommodations, activities, or any other aspect of the event.
-Early departure from camp, whether voluntary or due to removal for violating camp policies.

Transfer Policy
-Registrations cannot be transferred to another person unless explicitly approved by event organizers.
-If a participant cannot attend, they may request to sell or transfer their pass, but this is subject to organizer approval. The new participant must sign all required waivers and paperwork.

Event Changes & Force Majeure Clause
-Event organizers reserve the right to modify or adjust event details (such as schedule, speakers, or lodging arrangements) without offering refunds.

-In the unlikely event of cancellation due to circumstances beyond our control (such as natural disasters, government restrictions, or unforeseen venue issues), the event may be rescheduled, and registrations will be applied to a future event rather than refunded.
