  • Abstract Presenter Responsibilities, Consent and Permissions

    Presenters Responsibilities

    1. The presenter will be the contact person for all correspondence about the abstract and will keep co-authors informed about its status.
    2. The presenter’s name and email address will be printed with the abstract in the Summit programme.
    3. Presenter accepts responsibility on behalf of all co-authors for permission to reproduce presentation.
    4. All accepted abstracts, other than those that are withdrawn prior to publication and any that may have been accepted as a special late exception, will be published in the Summit programme.
    5. All reproductions must include proper acknowledgment of the Presenter as the author and clearly reference the presentation at the Global Cardio-Oncology Summit.
    6. No part of the abstract may be extracted for reproduction or publication on its own, unless the Presenter has explicitly provided it as a summary, overview, or abstract.
    7. Presenters must give consent and permission:
      • To process, use and publish Personal Information  
      • For the Abstract to be reproduced on the Summit material, website and programme.

     Abstract Submission Instructions  

    1. Abstracts must be in English.
    2. There is no limit to the number of abstracts submitted.
    3. There is no limit to the number of authors listed on an abstract.
    4. The size limit for the abstract (including title, body, and tables) is 2000 characters. The character count does NOT include spaces, author names, or institutions.
    5. Category Requirements
      • Original research abstracts should include the following sections: background, methods, results, conclusion.
      • Case reports/Clinical decision-making abstracts should include the following sections: background, case, discussion.
    6. Abstracts must be submitted electronically via the Abstract Submission Portal in Word Format (.doc / .docx)
    7. Decision letters and presentation instructions are expected to be emailed to the Presenter (the contact person/first author listed) by 2 August 2025.
    8. The Summit organisers does not provide support for abstract presenters, regardless of presentation outcome.
    9. Abstract presenters must register to attend the Summit.

  • Young Investigator Award Recognition Eligibility Criteria and Requirements

    Three candidates will be selected to give an oral presentation during the Summit.

    Candidates must be prepared to attend the Summit and deliver a 10-minute presentation summarizing their work. Finalists will be determined by the GCOS Summit academic committee and notified via email. The winner will be announced live at the end of the Summit on 1 November 2025 and all finalists must present to be eligible for the Award.

    Eligible Candidates:

    1. Must be the presenter of the submitted abstract.
    2. Must be currently enrolled in a graduate programme (i.e., MSc, PhD, MD) or junior faculty (within first 5 years), within a university, hospital or affiliated research institute at the time of application.
    3. Provide nomination material as listed below:
      • One nomination letter (signed by a senior investigator)
      • One letter of recommendation
      • Current CV plus a complete list of all publication
