Pottery Painting Parties
Select from one of our many pottery pieces including fun figurines, functional kitchen items such as bowls, cups, plates, measuring spoons and collanders, fancy vases and more! We'll teach you all about how our glazes work and different painting techniques. All fired items come out shiny and vibrant. They are food safe and are yours to enjoy forever. Items are ready to pick up in 7-10 days.
Clay Sculpting Parties
Learn how to create an item from scratch! Cost varies depending on the project and ranges from $25-40 per person. One of our talented instructors will teach a demonstration and is available when needed to answer questions or offer guidance throughought the process to sculpt clay to create different shapes. You can choose from items such as mugs, charcuterie boards, bowls, incense holders, windchimes and so much more!
Clay can be painted the same day for a watercolour effect, or come back in 3 weeks to paint your pieces after they've been fired for no extra cost. Items are ready to pick up 2-3 weeks after glazing.

FAQ
1. Can I bring food? No. Clay and food don't mix. It's messy and dusty and for those reasons we don't recomend it. You can juice boxes or bevarages that can be sealed but we ask that you don't bring food. Locke St. has a variety of restaurents that offer everything from donut shops, pizza, burgers etc! Ask us for recommendations and we'll be happy to share our favorite spots. There is also HAAA park 200m from the studio where in warm months is a great spot for a picnic.
2. Can I bring balloons and decorations? Absolutely! We have a little birthday banner we like to put up for birthdays. Keep in mind, we are open to the public for drop-in programs so please keep decorations confined to your designated birthday table.
2. How much time do we have? Our bookings are an hour and half long.
3. Can the parents of young guests attending stay? We ask that a maximum of two adults stay for the party. We don't have a large capacity and to avoid crowding, we recommend parents step out. Locke St. has lots of great window shopping and cafes. We'll take the reins on the party!
4. Can I book more than 16 guests? Our studio can fit a maximum of 16 guests downstairs and 30 guests upstairs. If you want to book the whole studio for an event, you can email us at hello@playwithclay.ca about alternative options!
