The ARPA Retention Grant is a competitive funding opportunity designed to enhance or expand your organization’s existing programs and services or support projects that are vital to advancing your childcare organization’s mission. This grant aims to strengthen workforce retention and stability, ensuring high-quality care for children and families. Please read and confirm each of the grant eligibility requirements below:
- I understand to be considered eligible; my program must maintain an active permanent KDHE license.
- I understand that my business must be open for 6 months prior to be eligible.
- I understand that if I have a temporary license or are closed, I am not eligible.
- I agree to meet eligibility requirements of the ARPA funds made available by Reno County and the City of Hutchinson, which include Center-based child care providers, group home child care providers, family child care providers or other providers of child care for compensation that are:
- Licensed, regulated or registered under applicable state and local law.
- Adhere to state and local requirements including health and safety requirements on the date of application outlined in section 658(c)(2)(1) of the CCDBG Act. (42 U.S.C. 985c(c)(2)(1).
- All day, all year programs in Reno County and would not cover drop-in care.
- By receiving these funds, I agree to allow the use of the data collected on the application.
- I understand that I can only request funds based on my enrollment numbers for the quarterly time period being requested.
- I understand the United Way of Reno County, who is the fiscal agent for the Reno County Child Care Task Force, could perform a random audit of receipts and verification of number of kids. If selected, my program would be required to submit receipts for all expenses reported and proof of enrolled kids or be required to return the funds.
- I understand that grants will be awarded quarterly for the previous quarter.
- I understand that an annual budget will be submitted during at least one quarter of each year.
- I agree to keep documents and/or receipts to support the expenses claimed, for 5 years.
- I understand all funds are reimbursement based and could take up to 30 days to receive funds once awards are announced.
- If awarded I agree to complete and submit an impact story describing how the sustainability grant funds impacted my program.
- I understand that failure to comply with grant requirements may prevent my eligibility for future grant opportunities though the ARPA Grants.
