Chicago Indie Board Game Designer Application
On May 1st, 2025, we're bringing an indie board game showcase to Wicker Park! Players will have a chance to play games built by local designers as they hop from table to table, meeting all the brilliant minds who created them. The event will run 6-10pm Central Time, and we're asking designers to arrive 45 minutes early to set up. Designers can bring anything from a pen-and-paper prototype to a published game, available for purchase. Not only is it free for designers to demo at our event, but you will also all receive your own unique coupon code for 10% off tickets. For each ticket purchased using this code, you will get paid out a $10 bonus after the event ends. We are asking all designers to make a good-faith effort to sell four tickets to help fill the room for the other designers. We are currently doing rolling applications- which means if you apply, you should hear back from us either way within a few days.

What's the name of the game you would like to demo with us?
Please fill out one copy of this form for each game you'd like to demo with us.
Give us a catchy, one-sentence description of your game that will get people excited to play it. This may be used in promotions around the event.
How many players does your game support?
How long does it take to play?
What genre of game is it?
What stage of the design process is the game in? (Paper-and-pen prototype, scheduled to launch on kickstarter, available for retail, etc)
If you had the table space to do so, what's the most number of copies of your game you could simultaneously demo?
Please note: Each designer is only guaranteed enough space to demo one copy of their game. We would only ask you to demo additional copies if there are enough tickets sold that we would have appropriate demand for some designers to start showing off multiple copies. But if that happens, it would be helpful to know who could do so. :)
Please upload 1-3 photos of your game that we can share as we promote this event. (Designers only showing prototypes do not need to provide pictures.)

We are asking each designer to sell four tickets to the event. Is this something you think you'll be able to do? (If you can't, that's fair, but we will give preference for spots to designers who think they'd be able to hit that number.)

If you'd like, we can share a link with attendees to the webpage of your choice along with a call to action. For example "To back this game on Kickstarter, click here." Links can be to your website, kickstarter, instagram, whatever you'd like. If you'd like to include a link and call to action with your game listing, please submit it here.
Is there anything else you'd like to tell us? It could be additional info about your game, ways you'd be interested in being involved in the showcase or anything else you think we should know.
