What is Saving Places On the Road?
Saving Places On the Road is Colorado Preservation, Inc.’s dynamic traveling conference designed to spotlight and celebrate historic preservation efforts in communities across the state. This immersive, two-day event brings together local leaders, preservation professionals, and curious visitors for hands-on training, behind-the-scenes tours, and exclusive access to preservation projects that highlight the unique history and character of each host community. In addition to educational sessions and site visits, the event features a lively Taste Of celebration—an evening dedicated to showcasing the area’s local music, cuisine, artisans, and cultural traditions. With an average attendance of 75 to 150 participants, Saving Places On the Road offers a unique opportunity for communities to share their preservation successes, explore region-specific challenges, and foster meaningful connections with a statewide network of advocates.
