School Group Permission Form
In the Middle School years, boys begin to ask the big questions, such as “Who do I want to be as a person? What are my values?” Some boys connect with positive role models and mentors, other boys reach for connection through social media or less healthy means. Our mission is to help boys on their paths to becoming men of integrity, and we have been serving this purpose in the community since 2008. Group meetings run throughout the school year. If you have any questions about your child’s participation in our groups, please contact the appropriate grade level counselor and/or us. To give your consent for participation, you can either email your child’s school counselor or sign this form! Learn more about us at journeymenasheville.org/!
I, parent/guardian of teen, understand and agree:
*
We are offering a mentoring group for your son during the school week. Each meeting we bring a topic for discussion, such as integrity, dealing with change in life, choosing friends, investing in skills, etc. We are NOT therapeutic, political, or religious; we seek to listen and recognize the gifts in boys regardless of background. Participation in each group is voluntary.
