    in accordance with the City of Cape Town: City Improvement District By-law, 2023 (the “By-law”)

    The main objectives of this CID are to improve and upgrade the area in the manner envisaged in the amended Business Plan dated 15 April 2025.

    Please note: The Applicant and the steering committee will keep your personal information confidential. Without written consent, disclosure to third parties will be limited to CID application procedures prescribed by the City of Cape Town.

  • Part A: Property details

    Part B must be completed by all voters.

  • IT IS ESSENTIAL TO INCLUDE THE ERF NUMBER TO MAKE THIS A VALID VOTE.

    If you do not know what the ERF number of your property is you can find it on your municipal rates bill as shown below.

  • Part B: Owner's details - Natural persons

    Part B is for properties that are owned by Natural persons - i.e. NOT Companies, Trusts, CCs, Deceased Estates, etc.

  • Part C: Warranty by the authorised representative of a Natural Person.

    Part C should be filled in by anyone signing on behalf of a 'Natural Person'. It records the details of that individual and includes a legal undertaking by them.
  • "I hereby declare that I have been duly authorised by the aforesaid registered property owner to vote on their behalf in respect of the establishment of the proposed CID and to complete any necessary documentation in this regard."

  • Part D: Owner's details - Juristic Persons

    Part D is for properties that are owned in Companies, Trusts, CCs, Deceased Estates, etc.  
  • The following documents must be uploaded with this submission:

     1.  A copy of a Resolution of the Company, CC, or Trust granting authority to a named individual to act on its behalf.

    The Resolution should include: 

    • The name of the Legal Entity which owns the property
    • The Resolution number
    • The Erf number and address of the property
    • The authorised individual's Name, ID number and contact details
    • It must be signed by all Directors or Trustees.

    2.  Proof of the current Directors or Trustees.

    • For Companies or CCs this could be printed CK documents, or even a screenshot of the freely available online CIPC list of Directors (https://eservices.cipc.co.za/).
    • For Trustees this would typically be the Letter of Authority lodged with the Master's office.  In many cases this is also freely available online (https://icmsweb.justice.gov.za/mastersinformation/).

    This is where you vote for or against the CID expansion.
