Recycling Workshop Registration

♻️ WHEN: Tuesday, April 22 (EARTH DAY) ♻️ WHERE: ACPL downtown branch, Meeting Room A ♻️ TIME: 5:30 pm-7 pm ♻️ COST: free, but donations are appreciate 👉 Learn facts about the state of recycling in Allen County, proper recycling information, and ask our local expert questions. We also encourage you to bring in any items you have recycling questions about. This workshop is appropriate for any recycling knowledge level: novice to advanced. 👷 Our host; Jacob Stevens is a 1999 graduate of Purdue University with a degree in organizational leadership and supervision. Jacob has previously worked for General Motors, ConAgra foods, Frito-Lay and Eaton. He was the plant manager of the MRF (Material Recovery Facility) on Pontiac Street with Republic Services from 2019 to 2024. Jacob started with GFL in December of 2024 as the recycling commodity coordinator. Part of his job is partnering with the city of Fort Wayne to educate about recycling and to increase participation in the existing program.
