    IMPORTANT GUIDANCE CONCERNING CELL PHONES:

A cell phone will not be necessary for a student to participate in the camp activities. Printed schedules will beavailable for all campers. Adult leaders will also have access to phones in case of emergency. Adults and campers present at the camp services and activities are asked not to photograph or record and share personal moments (i.e. altar calls) due to the vulnerable, spiritual nature of such moments. In past camp experiences, campers have expressed a concern about this type of sharing. Cell phones should be brought and used with discretion. Volunteers, campers, and parents should review the following issues together, and make sure expectations are clear:

ENGAGEMENT AND ETIQUETTE: it is important that campers and workers respect each other by being present and engaged in activities and fellowship. In order for everyone to benefit from the camp experience, participation should not be hindered by device use. Preoccupation with screens is a detriment not only to the user’s experience, but to the experience of those around the person as well.

MEDIA CONTENT AND WELL-BEING: Individuals will be held accountable for inappropriate content accessed over personal devices and temporary confiscation and/or expulsion may occur for violating any of the above camp rules via devices. After the scheduled lights out, students are expected to refrain from continued use of device screens.

LOSS AND/OR DAMAGE: Campers and workers bring valuables at their own risk and the camp will not be held responsible for any loss or damage of personal property.
