Class description:
Emmenagogue: A word that has been cloaked in secrecy, protected, passed as a wink and a nudge, its meaning both specific and vague. Emmenagogue is a general herbal action word for herbs that stimulate menstruation. Yet we know that there are multitudes of potential actions within this broad umbrella. This class will differentiate types of emmenagogues to help you better understand what plants might be most effective in different situations related to fertility and menstrual health. We will cover: angelica, motherwort, cotton root bark, pennyroyal, yarrow, mugwort, blue cohosh.
