  • Frequently Asked Questions

Before we collect details about your installation, here are answers to some common questions about our remote quoting process. We aim for transparency, so we've outlined exactly how your pricing is determined.
    • How can you give me an accurate quote without ever visiting my home?
    • How Our Remote Quoting Process Works:

To provide fast and competitive pricing, we ask you to measure the distance from your electrical panel to your desired charger location. Based on your measurement, we'll place you into a pricing tier. To ensure accuracy and peace of mind:

Generous Measurement Cushion: We offer a 10-foot cushion in either direction. If your measurement is off by up to 10 feet, your quoted price won't change.
On-Site Verification: On installation day, our technician confirms the measurement first thing during the initial walkthrough. If the actual distance significantly differs from your initial estimate—whether shorter or longer—or if the installation route poses unexpected challenges, we’ll provide a revised quote on-site. If the installation ends up being significantly shorter than your initial measurement, we adjust your final invoice accordingly, so you only pay for the actual work done.
Should you choose not to proceed with any revised quote, you owe us nothing, and our technician will leave without charge.

Why Do We Use This Approach?

Conducting remote quotes helps us keep our pricing competitive. Visiting each site before quoting would significantly increase our operational costs, resulting in higher prices for customers. Since 2017, we've been continuously refining our quoting process, successfully completing over 4,000 installations. It's rare for us to receive complaints about our quoting accuracy or have customers experience unexpected price increases. Our accurate quoting, paired with exceptional installation quality, has earned us a 4.9-star rating on Google based on over 300 reviews. This proven approach ensures efficiency, affordability, and outstanding customer satisfaction.

    • Why do you need pictures of my panel & garage?
    • Why We Need High-Quality, Clear Photos:

To ensure safety and accuracy, we require clear, legible photos of your electrical panel, main breaker or service size, and the panel's circuit label. These images allow us to perform an accurate load calculation according to National Electrical Code (NEC) requirements, determining whether your existing electrical system can support an EV charger or if additional equipment like a load management device, panel upgrade, or service upgrade is needed.

We also inspect these photos to identify any safety issues or discontinued panels. Specifically, we avoid working with Pushmatic panels due to their age and Federal Pacific panels because of known recalls and fire hazards.

If photos are unclear or incomplete, we'll need to request additional images, which can delay your quote. Our form allows multiple photo uploads; the clearer and more detailed your photos, the more accurately we can quote your installation upfront.

During the initial walkthrough, our technician verifies the panel details to ensure nothing was missed. Less than 1% of installations require a requote due to panel safety or NEC load calculation issues, thanks to thorough initial photo reviews.

Note: In rare cases, such as condos or apartments with external main breakers, alternative methods or a brief technician visit during quoting might be necessary. We'll communicate clearly if this applies to your situation
