Thank you for your interest in participating in the Mayor’s Youth Workforce Experience 2025, an initiative of the Office of Mayor-President. Scholars accepted to the summer cohort will participate in an 8-week career preparation and exploration experience that starts Monday, June 9, 2025. Applicants not selected for the summer cohort will have access to other resources through the Mayor’s Youth Workforce Experience. The MYWE program is made possible through the collaborative efforts of the Mayor's Office, EmployBR, Baton Rouge Community College, Chamber of Commerce, East Baton Rouge Parish School System and Big Buddy Program. Scholars will engage in career exploration, develop social emotional skills, join with their peers in civic and leadership projects, and connect to positive role models who will help ensure they successfully complete the program. There is limited space in the summer cohort, so please read all the requirements carefully and fully complete the application.
