StrideRise Veteran Support Group is a specialized program providing equine-assisted services to veterans dealing with PTSD, trauma, and challenges related to reintegration into civilian life. This program focuses on fostering resilience, emotional regulation, and trust through structured interactions with horses. Participants engage in groundwork, horsemanship, and mindfulness-based activities that promote healing in a supportive, non-traditional therapeutic setting.

The program is designed to create a peer-supported environment, allowing veterans to connect with others who share similar experiences. By incorporating evidence-based approaches such as trauma-informed care and experiential learning, StrideRise program aims to enhance coping skills, reduce anxiety, and improve overall well-being. Research indicates that equine-assisted programs can significantly benefit veterans by lowering stress levels and improving emotional stability (Johnson et al., 2023; Lanning et al., 2017).

StrideRise Veteran Support Group program is committed to increasing accessibility through partnerships with veteran service organizations, securing funding to support program expansion from Freedom Ranch Inc., and advocating for broader recognition of equine-assisted services as a valuable mental health resource. The program continues to evolve with ongoing research and feedback from participants, ensuring its long-term sustainability and effectiveness in supporting veterans' mental health and personal growth.

WAIVER OF LIABILITY & PHOTO RELEASE FORM

I, the undersigned, acknowledge that participation in equine-assisted activities at Strides Equestrian Therapeutic Center involves inherent risks, including but not limited to falls, bites, kicks, unpredictable animal behavior, collisions, and environmental hazards. I voluntarily assume all risks associated with these activities and agree to release, waive, discharge, and hold harmless Strides Equestrian Therapeutic Center, its owners, employees, volunteers, and affiliates from any and all liability, claims, demands, or causes of action arising from injury, illness, death, or property damage resulting from participation in equine-assisted activities.

I further agree to indemnify and defend Strides Equestrian Therapeutic Center against any claims, damages, or legal costs that may arise from my participation. I understand this waiver is intended to be as broad and inclusive as permitted by state law and that, if any portion is deemed invalid, the remainder shall continue in full legal force and effect.

Additionally, I grant permission for Strides Equestrian Therapeutic Center to use photographs and/or videos of me (or my minor child) taken during participation in activities for educational, promotional, or marketing purposes unless otherwise stated in writing.
