    • FAQ

What is the program, and are there any hidden catches?
This is a government-funded initiative aimed at promoting cleaner energy. There are no hidden catches or fees associated with signing up.

What are the terms of participation? Can I cancel, and how does the billing work?
You can cancel at any time without any fees. The discount is applied directly to your PSE&G utility bill, and no credit card information is required.

How does the solar discount work, and what happens if there isn’t enough solar energy produced?
The discount applies to your entire utility bill. Before allocating customers to a solar farm, an energy estimate ensures sufficient production for all participants.

What happens if I already have solar panels?
If you have solar panels, the remaining energy billed by your utility provider qualifies for a 20% discount.

What if I rent a basement apartment or plan to move?
If you rent, you are still eligible and when you move, the discount can be transferred to your new address.

Who qualifies, and why is income level considered?
Everyone qualifies, regardless of income. To meet government guidelines, 50% of the program participants must be low-income customers. Providing proof
of low-income status may expedite your allocation to a solar farm.

Why do you need such personal information like my date of birth?
We work with the utility company and they require this information in order to verify the customer.

How long does it take to get on to the solar farm? How long will I remain on the solar farm? Will any other government programs be affected by joining?
The process to get on a solar farm takes 3-4 months. Once you are on the program, you will receive the discount for a guaranteed 20 years. No other government programs will be affected by signing up, including but not limited to HEAP, NJ FAMILY CARE, HUD etc.

Who oversees this program, and are there additional savings options?
This program is supported by government funding. We are independent brokers working in partnership with utility companies. Additionally, we offer an
optional rate-lock program for 12 or 36 months to help customers save on rising energy rates.

If I sign up for the 20% discount, will my PSE&G rates change?
