Easter Egg Hunt Registration Form

The Haven is a private law enforcement retreat, and our address is not available to the public. It will only be provided once the entire registration process is complete and your credentials verified. We respectfully ask that you do not disseminate or divulge the physical location of The Haven to anyone to ensure security for officers who visit The Haven.

The Haven's Easter Egg Hunt is for active or retired law enforcement officers and their immediate families only. All active officers are asked to use their agency email address for registration to help with verification process. All guests 18 and older are required to electronically sign all enclosed agreements. Active and retired law enforcement officers will be required to attach a photo of their active or retired law enforcement credentials.

I understand that I may be exposed to confidential information during my time at The Haven. As a condition of my visit to The Haven, I will keep in strict confidence any information regarding the physical location, any client information, or any other confidential information that comes to my attention while at The Haven. I will not “check-in” electronically, via social media, or disclose verbally or in any other way the physical location of The Haven. I will not disclose any client information to any person aside from authorized Haven staff members and/or law enforcement if required pursuant to alleged criminal activity. As a condition of my visit, I acknowledge that the physical location of The Haven is not publicly known, and I will maintain the confidentiality of the physical location in order to protect The Haven’s staff and clients. I will maintain confidentiality in accordance with this agreement and any applicable South Carolina state laws.

I, {name}, (hereinafter referred to as Guest) have been given permission to come upon the Haven’s property located in Lexington County, South Carolina (hereinafter referred to as the Haven Premises) operated by The Haven Retreat, Inc (hereinafter referred to as “Tenant”) and owned by Kevin and Ryanne Caldwell (hereinafter referred to as “Landlord”).

Guest acknowledges and understands that no warranty, either express or implied, is made by the Landlord and/or Tenant as to the condition of the Haven Premises. Guest acknowledges that fishing, hiking, and other recreational activities on rural property such as the Haven Premises does have unknown hazards and risks, and can result in injury or property damage to the person engaging in these activities. The many possibilities and sources of injury or damage are acknowledged by Guest, and s/he comes on the Haven Premises with full knowledge that hazards and risks exist.

As part of the consideration for being allowed by Landlord and/or Tenant to enjoy fishing, hiking, and other recreational activities on the Haven Premises, Guest hereby indemnifies and releases Landlord and/or Tenant from all liability for personal injury, including wrongful death, or property damage suffered by Guest which is caused, in whole or in part, by any activity or condition on the Haven Premises, even if the injury or damage is caused, in whole or in part, by the negligence of the Landlord and/or or his employees. Guest agrees that Landlord and/or Tenant will not be responsible for exercising reasonable care to avoid injuring Guest while s/he is on the Haven Premises. Guest understands that neither he/she, nor his heirs or personal representatives will be able to sue Landlord and/or Tenant or his associates for any injury or property damage that Guest suffers while on the Haven Premises. Guest indemnifies and releases Landlord and/or Tenant from any acts arising from the Landlord and/or Tenant’s negligence. As used in this release statement, the term Guest will include any minors in the Guest’s care while on the Haven Premises.

Guests are NOT permitted to carry weapons or ammunition on their person while on Haven property.

As law enforcement officers, we are trained to carry and use weapons. However, because The Haven is a place of rest and refuge, guests are required to secure all weapons in their vehicle. The vehicle MUST be secured/locked and remain secured/locked at all times during the visit.

If a guest’s weapon cannot be secured in his/her vehicle, s/he will notify the property host immediately upon arrival. In the presence of the host, the guest will make the gun safe (remove the magazine and ALL ammunition from the weapon). The host will provide a cable gun lock, which the guest will place on his/her weapon. The weapon will then be stored inside the guest’s vehicle for the duration of the visit. At the conclusion of the visit, the guest will return the cable lock to the host before departing.

TOBACCO/E-CIGARETTES: POSSESSION AND USE

The Haven is a tobacco-free and smoke/vape-free property. Tobacco products, e-cigarettes, vaping cartridges/oil, and any other tobacco or smoking products are NOT allowed at any time on the property.

ALCOHOL: POSSESSION AND USE

Alcoholic beverages are NOT permitted on The Haven’s property. The possession and/or use of alcoholic beverages by any guest during any visit or event at The Haven will not be tolerated. Any guest found to be in violation of this policy will be dismissed from The Haven. Any appearance of intoxication will result in immediate termination of the visit. If a guest appears to be intoxicated, s/he will remain on the property until arrangements for safe transportation are made.       

 

ILLEGAL DRUGS/SUBSTANCE - POSSESSION/USE

Using or possessing illegal drugs in any form while on The Haven property is strictly prohibited. The possession and/or use of any illegal drug/substance by any guest at The Haven will not be tolerated. Guests found to be in violation of this policy will be summarily dismissed and may be subject to immediate arrest and criminal prosecution. The guest WILL NOT be considered for any future visits or events at The Haven.
