Puppy Meet-and-Greet and Volunteer Open House at CNIB

Event Description: Captain Scott Legacy Society is partnering with The Canadian National Institute for the Blind (CNIB) to host a fun and informative event for interested volunteers, featuring their adorable and hardworking guide dogs-in-training!
About CNIB:
Founded in 1918, CNIB is a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering individuals who are blind or partially sighted. With a new base in New Westminster, CNIB is expanding its services across Metro Vancouver—and they need more volunteers like you to help make a difference!
Come join us for a CNIB open house and puppy meet-and-greet! Here's what to expect:
- Meet & greet with puppy guide dogs-in-training
- Learn about CNIB's mission, the Guide Dog Program, and other volunteer opportunities
- Hear from current volunteers and trainers about dog training and guide dog experiences
- Tour the CNIB office
- Snap pics and videos with puppies at our selfie station
- Find out what it’s like to work with a guide dog during a mall walk (please note: only trainers can handle the Guide Dog and their leash)
- Enjoy complimentary snacks and refreshments
This event is FREE event and open to high school students and adults interested in volunteering at CNIB. Children of interested adult volunteers are welcome as well!
