SIAMS Inspection Questions Unpicked

Supporting Schools in Preparing for Inspection

Since 2023, we have been running SIAMS Inspection Questions Unpicked, a CPD series designed to help schools navigate the six or seven key inspection questions posed by a SIAMS inspector. Delivered over six staff meetings throughout the year, this course provides practical, whole-team training for staff and governors, supporting a deeper understanding of church school distinctiveness and strengthening self-evaluation.

To help schools manage costs, we offer the option to exchange up to two half-day visits to cover the cost of the course. We recommend engaging with this training at the mid-point between SIAMS inspections to ensure your school is well-prepared.

If you’re interested, speak with your adviser to determine whether this would be beneficial for your school. There’s no immediate commitment required, but if you’re considering this for next year, it would be helpful to know in advance.
