      KEY AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY:

      • Develop and execute media and communications strategies, plans and budget to elevate and safeguard brand awareness, familiarity and trust.
      • Proactively identify and maximise strategic PR opportunities and coordinate with internal stakeholders, partnering NGOs and beneficiaries on media engagement and case interview to enhance the visibility and reputation of the organisation.
      • Manage and contribute to effective media monitoring including the development and dissemination of daily news clippings and regular analytics and reports.
      • Establish and maintain excellent working relationship with key journalists, editors, producers and celebrities/KOLs at print, broadcast and online platforms.
      • Write and translate various types of media and communications content e.g. press release, editorial, Op-ed, script, speech, case story, newsletter, leaflet, annual report for various platforms e.g. print, digital, video, social media and event-based initiative that engage key stakeholders and elevate brand reputation.
      • Handle media inquiries, media interviews, press events, speaking engagements, publication production and partnership content marketing initiatives.
      • Develop and execute PR and brand campaigns as well as crisis communications.
      • Ad hoc projects as assigned

       

      QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

      • University degree or above, preferably in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, Marketing or related field.
      • At least 4 years of experience in public relations or marketing & communications role, with PR agency or journalist background preferred.
      • Proven track record in elevating brand recognition through PR and media communications and content marketing.
      • Strong media network (especially in education, parenting and local news) with solid experience in media relations, corporate communications, crisis communication and branding.
      • Seasoned in English and Chinese writing, editing, key message development, copy writing and creating various formats of PR and marketing communications content. 
         

      KEY SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ATTITUDE

      • Highly proficient in written and spoken English and Chinese.
      • Excellent project management skill, organisation skill with sound judgment, attentive to details and ability to work both independently and in team environment.
      • Be able to work in a multi-tasking, team-oriented atmosphere and effectively meet deadlines while remaining flexible and agile.
      • A team player with maturity, positive and growth mindset, can-do attitude, good interpersonal and communication skills.
      • Proficient with MS Office suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint 
      • Hands on experience in photo editing tools e.g. Canva, Adobe suite is preferred.
      • Experience in handling digital communications for website and various social media platforms preferred.
      • Ability in photo taking, design and video production is a plus.
      • Knowledge in child development, parenting and mental health is a plus.
      • Previous experience in PR agency or media companies is a plus.
      • Passionate about PR & communications work in NGO setting for children.
