This learning set is designed to bring together a small group of supportive peers who are either interested in, or actively involved in, coordinating or supporting anchor networks within their region. The group will meet over a series of five sessions to share learning, to problem solve around specific topics, and to dive into areas of work they have in common.
This upcoming learning set will feature a specific focus on supporting colleagues working within Mayoral Strategic Authorities in England, offering an opportunity to explore how anchor networks help align regional priorities, bring partners together across local boundaries, and combine collective assets to tackle system‑wide challenges. However we welcome registrations of interest from a wider range of organisations where there may be opportunities for shared learning.
This learning set will be delivered by HALN, with support from the West Midlands Combined Authority Mayoral Regions Programme team.
Key information
- The learning set runs over 8 months and meets roughly every 8 weeks for 1.5 hours
- Sets will be held online, on Zoom, and will be highly participative
- There may be a small amount of pre-reading or work before each set, usually for no more than 30 minutes
- After registering, the HALN team will be in touch to confirm your place and share joining instructions and pre-reading
- Please note that we cannot guarantee a place for everyone in the Learning Set, as we will limit numbers to create an environment that supports effective peer learning. Places will be allocated to those who are likely to benefit the most from participating.
- Registrations will close on Friday 1st May and we'll be in touch to confirm places shortly after.
Dates and attendance
The learning set works best when a small group meets consistently over a set period of time. Therefore, we encourage people to ensure they are able to attend the majority of the sessions before they register. We know that plans change and it may not always be possible to attend all of the sessions. Please do reach out if you would like to chat about this (hello@haln.org.uk).
