When COVID-19 hit in 2020, Drea had just graduated with her master’s degree and was on track for a full-time role with the Jacksonville Jaguars. However, the pandemic and mass layoffs in the sports industry left her, like many others, without a job. In 2021, just as she was beginning to regain her footing, a severe car accident left her with six broken vertebrae, causing temporary paralysis of her right leg and arms for nearly a year. This further delayed her ability to work and pursue her career. Drea understands firsthand how unexpected challenges can derail plans, and she is passionate about supporting new graduates facing similar setbacks. Blow The Whistle is dedicated to helping those impacted by circumstances beyond their control, providing mentorship, resources, and opportunities to get back on track and chase their dreams.
