    Guidelines
  • The Sullivan County Farm Bureau is pleased to offer two scholarships of $500 each to support students pursuing their education. Please review the following guidelines carefully before submitting your application.

    Eligibility Criteria

    • Applicants must be enrolled in a post-secondary educational institution or trade school.
    • Preference will be given to applicants who are Farm Bureau members or whose families are members.
    • A minimum GPA of 2.5 is required to receive scholarship funds and must be maintained in their post-secondary program.

    Application Requirements

    • Deadline: All applications must be submitted digitally by April 15th. Late applications will not be considered.
    • Resume: Applicants must upload a current resume as part of their submission.
    • Short Essay: A short essay is required as part of the application and will be run through an Al checker to ensure originality.
    • Grade & Schedule Submission: Scholarship recipients must submit their fall semester transcript along with their spring semester schedule of their post-secondary program to sullivancountyfarmbureau.ny@gmail.com  before funds are distributed.

    Selection Process

    Scholarships will be awarded based on academic performance, involvement in agriculture and/or community activities, and the quality of the application materials.

    Attach your high school transcript reflecting your GPA of 2.5or higher.

    Resume Submission

    Attach a current resume detailing your academic achievements, extracurricular activities, leadership roles, work experience, and any relevant community or agricultural involvement.

    Short Essay

    In 500 words or less, please attach a short essay responding to the following:

    How has agriculture impacted your life, and why have you chosen your particular degree or trade program?

    Your response should be personal, well-organized, and demonstrate originality.
