Afghan Allies Safe Arrival Coalition Form Logo
  • Afghan Allies Safe Arrival Coalition Form

  • This form collects case information needed to assist with travel coordination to the U.S. and, if requested, to match you with a group of volunteers under the Sponsor Circle Program who can help you resettle in the U.S.

This form is for travel-ready Afghans who are in any country and have an approved U.S. Visa and a valid passport or travel document.

This form is for those with valid U.S. Visas for SIV.

Please complete one form per household, even if the individuals are split into multiple SIV cases.

  • Travel Coordination Information

  • Travel Coordination Overview

Travel coordination is available to help book air travel from your current location to your destination in the U.S. If you request assistance with travel coordination, the method of payment will be a Humanitarian Travel Loan offered by a U.S. financial non-profit organization. The loan amount will be for the exact amount of the plane ticket and luggage fees, with 0% interest and $0 fees. Payments begin six months after arrival.

To begin the travel coordination process, you must:

    • Agree to the Humanitarian Travel Loan
    • Provide copies of valid passports or travel docs for every traveling family member
    • Provide a contact person located in the U.S. and share their name, full address, phone, and email. This step is not required if you are requesting resettlement support from the Sponsor Circle Program.

*Please note: on average, plane tickets cost approximately $1000-1500 per person, but may be less or more dependant on availability

  • Sponsor Circle Program Information

  • Support in the U.S. – Sponsor Circle Program

The U.S. refugee resettlement program, Reception and Placement (R&P), is currently suspended and you will not receive assistance upon arrival through government-funded resettlement services.

If you need support when you arrive, the Sponsor Circle Program can help match you with a group of volunteers in the U.S. These volunteers are called “sponsors” and they welcome you and help you settle into your new home.

Volunteers are not available in every location, so if you request this support you must be willing to resettle to a location where we have volunteers ready to welcome you.

    Sponsor Circle Support

Volunteer groups (“sponsors”) help newcomers access services and resources over a temporary period of 90 days. Their role is to make your transition to life in the U.S. easier and help you become independent as quickly as possible. These services may include:

    • Welcome: Sponsors may greet you at the airport and take you to where you will live when you first arrive.
    • Housing assistance: Sponsors will help you find a place to live, whether temporary or permanent, and guide you through the rental process.
    • Basic needs: Sponsors help with essentials such as furniture, household items, food, and clothing when you first arrive.
    • Navigating daily life: Sponsors help you understand public transportation, grocery shopping, opening an American bank account, and how to access important services.
    • Healthcare and education: Sponsors will guide you in enrolling in healthcare services and schools for your children, if needed.
    • Employment: Sponsors will help with job searches, applications, and interviews. They can help you understand how to transfer your skills or credentials to jobs in America.
    • Cultural orientation: Sponsors will introduce you to the local community and help you learn about American culture. They may also connect you with other people who share your background or interests.

    What Sponsor Circle is Not:

    • Sponsors are not paid and will not pay you.
    • Sponsors are not employers and cannot guarantee jobs.
    • Sponsors are not financially responsible for you or your family after 90 days. Once you begin earning an income, you will be responsible for your own rent, bills, and expenses.
    • Sponsors are not immigration officials or professional resettlement case managers.

Completing this form does not guarantee travel, resettlement, or sponsorship support. After completing this form, representatives from the Afghan Allies Safe Arrival Initiative will contact you to discuss our ability to assist.

  • This form is only for cases that are overseas and have not yet arrived in the U.S. To refer a case that is already in the U.S., please use this form: https://form.jotform.com/250856821848165.

  • Preferred Travel Date Range

You will be asked if you have a preferred date range for travel. Requested travel dates will be taken into consideration but are not guaranteed. Submitting this form does not ensure travel or sponsorship.

Our team books flights no sooner than one week before travel and up to 45 days in advance. If your requested date is more than 45 days away, we will aim to arrange your travel closer to that time.

Please be aware that US immigration laws change frequently and may shift before your travel date, possibly affecting your ability to enter the US.

Lastly, we cannot cancel or rebook travel, so please make sure your requested dates are final when submitting this form. Flight booking will also depend on how quickly you complete the loan process.
