Afghan Allies Safe Arrival Coalition Form Logo
  • Afghan Allies Safe Arrival Coalition Form

  • This form collects case information needed to assist us with finding you resettlement support and coordinate your self-booked travel to the United States.

This form is for travel-ready Afghans who are in any country and have the appropriate travel documentation. One must have a valid passport, a U.S. Visa, and any documentation required to depart from one’s current country. Please know that if you reside in Pakistan, you are required to have an exit permit only if you have overstayed or do not have a Pakistan visa.

This form is for those with a valid U.S Special Immigrant Visa (SIV). Once this form is submitted, we will begin emailing with you to discuss instructions, details, and any available resettlement opportunities.

Please complete one form per household, even if the individuals are split into multiple SIV cases.

  • Travel Coordination Information

  • Travel Coordination Overview

The coalition’s 0% humanitarian travel loan is now closed for new requests. Currently, one must self-book their travel to the United States. Please do not self-book your travel until you have coordinated the departure date and arrival location with us.

To begin the travel coordination process, you must:

    • Agree to book your own travel after coordinating your flight with us.
    • Provide copies of valid passports or travel documents for every traveling family member.
    • Provide a contact person located in the U.S. and share their name, full address, phone, and email.

*Please note: on average, we have found plane tickets to cost approximately $600-1500 per person, but may be less or more depending on availability

  • Sponsor Circle Program Information

  • Support in the U.S. – Sponsor Circle Program

If you need resettlement support when you arrive to the U.S., the Sponsor Circle Program can help match you with a group of volunteers that will welcome you. These volunteers are called “sponsors” and they will help you navigate the challenges newcomers face when arriving to America. They will help you settle into your new life.

Volunteers are not available in every location, so if you request this support you must be willing to resettle to a location where we have volunteers ready to welcome you.

    Sponsor Circle Support

Volunteer groups (“sponsors”) help newcomers access services and resources over a temporary period of 90 days. Their role is to make your transition to life in the U.S. easier and help you become independent as quickly as possible. These services may include:

    • Welcome: Sponsors may greet you at the airport and take you to where you will live when you first arrive.
    • Housing assistance: Sponsors will help you find a place to live, whether temporary or permanent, and guide you through the rental process.
    • Basic needs: Sponsors help with essentials such as furniture, household items, food, and clothing when you first arrive.
    • Navigating daily life: Sponsors help you understand public transportation, grocery shopping, opening an American bank account, and how to access important services.
    • Healthcare and education: Sponsors will guide you in enrolling in healthcare services and schools for your children, if needed.
    • Employment: Sponsors will help with job searches, applications, and interviews. They can help you understand how to transfer your skills or credentials to jobs in America.
    • Cultural orientation: Sponsors will introduce you to the local community and help you learn about American culture. They may also connect you with other people who share your background or interests.

    What Sponsor Circle is Not:

    • Sponsors are not paid and will not pay you.
    • Sponsors are not employers and cannot guarantee jobs.
    • Sponsors are not financially responsible for you or your family after 90 days. Once you begin earning an income, you will be responsible for your own rent, bills, and expenses.
    • Sponsors are not immigration officials or professional resettlement case managers.

Completing this form does not guarantee resettlement or sponsorship support. After completing this form, representatives from the Afghan Allies Safe Arrival Initiative will contact you to discuss our ability to assist.

  • This form is only for cases that are overseas and have not yet arrived in the U.S. To refer a case that is already in the U.S., please use this form: https://form.jotform.com/250856821848165.

  • Preferred Travel Date Range

The resettlement volunteers can accept arrivals on Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday. This is good news to the traveler as airlines typically offer lower-cost flights mid-week. Please remember not to book your flight until we can match you with sponsors. Submitting this form does not ensure sponsorship.
