  • The ACEM Aotearoa NZ Emergency Medicine Conference is heading to Whakatū, Nelson from Wednesday 25 to Friday 27 March 2026, and we’re inviting FACEMs and ACEM trainees across all of Aotearoa to join the Working Group behind this event.

    Following a fantastic event in New Plymouth in 2024, and another in Gisborne in 2024, the conference will move to a new location in Aotearoa annually. The conference is held across three days from Wednesday to Friday.

    The ACEM Core Values of respect, integrity, collaboration, and equity define the organisations guiding principles, and underpin the way ACEM works in order to meet its vision and mission of ensuring the highest standards are maintained in the training of emergency physicians, and in the provision of emergency care to the communities of Australia and Aotearoa New Zealand. From the start of 2022, all future appointees to ACEM roles and entities are required to have completed the ACEM Core Values Module; the close of the applicable expression of interest/nomination process and outline how they demonstrate the Core Values within their workplace.
