Please read this contract carefully and have both you and your parent/guardian sign it. Your signature on this contract seals your commitment to be on your very best behavior on the bus, hotel, sites, performance venues, etc. In the event any of the guidelines mentioned below are violated and upon investigation of the offense you may be removed from the Pebblebrook performance ensemble and entire band program.
You are expected to abide by the following guidelines during the entirety of this trip:
- I will obey all bus rules and treat all transportation personnel with respect. Additionally, I will clean up all my garbage and the trash around me.
- I will stay with my group and my chaperone. I will travel around the hotel and other locations with at least THREE people from our band at all times and in all places; and at least one of these people will have a working cell phone. All students will use the buddy system; always walk in groups of 3 or more and STICK TOGETHER! I will make sure that my individual chaperone knows where I am at all times.
- I will bring my uniform (including black socks, shoes, and spats)
- I will never be alone with the opposite sex, at the hotel or in any other location, and I will refrain from public displays of affection.
- I will never be in a room other than my own after curfew and I will NEVER be in the room of the opposite sex. NO EXCEPTIONS!! The lights in my room will be out at curfew every night and they will remain off for the rest of the night.
- Students are not allowed to leave the hotel for any reason. This includes with a parent or in a Rideshare (i.e Uber, Lyft, or Taxi No Exceptions!!
- Students are not allowed to order food at the hotel. This includes DoorDash, Uber Eats, GrubHub, Room Service, or any other food delivery service for any reason.
- Students SHOULD NOT TOUCH the snack bar in the hotel. It is weighted and will charge the room if it is picked up. The Parents incur any room charges that occur to
- Students will stay with their chaperone group at all times in public places. No wandering.
- I will not vandalize any hotel rooms, performance venues, shopping areas, or the bus. Proper etiquette will prevail. (Each student is required to keep his/her room clean and neat. Keep your clothes, etc. picked up and put away. Put garbage in waste baskets and keep bathrooms neat and orderly. There will be spot checks of rooms. Parents will be held liable for any damages caused by yourself or your property!
- Respect the rights of all other hotel guests.
Never unlock your room after the designated time for "room lock" unless directed to do so by a Band Director, Chaperone or until the designated wakeup time. This includes hotel "security" not accompanied by an official from the high school. Always deadbolt your door at night.
- Students will not be reassigned to another room at the hotel or on the bus without the recommendation of the director.
- Do not remove towels, wash clothes, pillows, or other hotel property from the premises.
- I will obey PHS dress code and language rules. Additionally, I will keep myself clean by showering daily and using deodorant.
- I will represent Pebblebrook High School well in dress, behavior and in my treatment of others.
- No person, who is not a member of the Pebblebrook band group, is allowed in a student's room at any time or on the hotel premises without the permission of the director.
- Students are expected to act APPROPRIATELY at all times. Remember we are not only representing PHS but Mableton and Georgia as well. We want to present our school and state in the best light possible.
- If there are disputes of any kind the band staff will arbitrate the dispute. Any student displaying inappropriate behavior, as evaluated by the director, will be sent home at parental expense and removed from the band program.
Students will follow any directions given by Directors and Chaperones. Students will show respect to all adults including Bus Driver and Hotel Officials.
- Possession, use, transmittal, storage, or being under the influence of alcoholic beverages and/or illegal drugs, narcotics, hallucinogens, amphetamines, barbiturates, marijuana, or any other substance listed under the Georgia Controlled Substance Act will result in immediate dismissal from the band. This includes edibles, vape pens of any kind, electronic cigarettes, or any other form of vaping device. Students will also be sent home at the parental expense and be removed from the band program.
- This is a Cobb County School District Trip. Students are bound by the Cobb County School District J Code Policies. Any infractions to these policies will be reported and consequences will be administered according to the CCSD J Code Policies.
